Hofer Time
Blues decline. Hofer is 23 and just played 30 games with a .914 save percentage. Would need a first or top defensive prospect to even consider.

Realistic offseason
If Harris is a cap dump at 23 on a 1.4 mil deal then I guess you had better dump Coronato with a 1st cause he is a bigger cap dump

Realistic offseason
Hehe, this doesn't seem all that realistic to me.
The Flames are rebuilding/retooling, Marner on a 1 year contract doesn't help with that. Especially if you consider that MTL will get the CGY pick next year, unless it's in the top 10, in which case MTL will get the FLA pick.
Markstrom, and Harris trades favor the Flames quite a bit.
I could see OTT being interested in Coleman, but Coleman has a NTC, so it's up to him.
---
I can see Markstrom + picks used to move up in the draft.
2 of Mangiapane, Kuzmenko, and Sharangovich traded before the start of the season.
A top 4 D brought in on a 1-3 year contract. Top candidates: Orlov, Schmidt, Martinez, Brodie.
A forward brought in a last ditch effort to revamp Huberdeau on a 3 year contract. Top candidates: Duclair, Duchene, Arvidsson.

If Calgary could they would do this in a heartbeat. Personally I think Dach has very high potential if he could just stay healthy. A Gabe Vilardi kind of case

i don't think this trade makes sense for any team in the league, but going solely off of what was said in december (from i think friedman). teams have interest but don't want the full contract, flyers won't retain to a price others want unless they get ~1st</div></div>
Even at 50 percent hes not worth a 1st.
Hes a 6-7 dman who would probably be on a 1-1.5 million deal if he went to free agency this summer

Also Kyle Davidson mentioned they can't finish bottom 3 again next year, which to me means they plan on making some moves this offseason. So I sent Hayton there.</div></div>
Montreal might not have interest in Hayton, but In my personal opinion I would rather him than the late 2nd. Either way it’s not a bad trade for Montreal

Anderson cap dump
People think of a "cap dump" as a player with a high cap hit who's no longer worth that amount. That's incorrect . . . or, at least, incomplete. The definition of a "cap dump" is a player who is no longer worth his cap hit <strong>which is a burden to his team because it brings them too close to the cap ceiling</strong>. You have $20 million in cap space here and plenty of open roster slots, so Anderson isn't a burden that way, either. I think that it's foolish to expend resources getting rid of a contract which may be a visual annoyance but is little more. Even buying him out is preferable to this, no matter what the cost is.
I've had this discussion previously with Habs fans who say But we need the cap space that would be taken up by Anderson's buyout down the line 2, 3, 4 seasons from now to re-sign x, y or z. I think you can afford to wait to cross that bridge when, and if, you get there.

Does Ottawa want to get their draft pick guy
Possibly?
Drafts do funny things to GM's. Sometimes they're hellbent on picking a center at #3 when there are far better players on the board because they REALLY want a center! Sometimes they end up with picks 13, 14 and 15 because they thought that would be enough to get them pick #5, then don't know who to select when that trade doesn't pan out.

if oilers dont win the cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Subbanator7667</b></div><div>He would be the best player to put a Canadians jersey on since Lafleur. It's a massive package but frankly a 100 point player gets that kind of package.
It would also leave the Habs with all their young dcore, Caufield, Slaf and Newhook. That trade would instantly put the Habs in playoff contention and they'd still have cap space to add significantly.</div></div>
Wouldn’t we better off waiting to see if Drai hits the open market and make a bid for him there? It’s just a risky trade for the Habs with the state their in right now
But I do agree with a lot of what you said

Perfetti
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Matt1567</b></div><div>Kakko is a year older, and has 2 more years of NHL experience, the expectations for Kakko are also higher as a 2nd overall pick than Perfetti at 10th. Perfetti is just over .5 points per game over his career, Kakko's best season was just under .5, I wouldn't call either a bust, as ultimately they're NHL players playing a decent role, but Kakko certainly is a disappointing 2nd overall pick, while Perfetti is showing more signs of being worthy of his draft position.</div></div>
To be fair, Perfetti is watching the playoffs from the press box. He shows flashes of being a star but it’s very inconsistent and the foot speed still isn’t there. The Jets still very much believe in him, (and still a very good chance he becomes a good player) so I don’t think this trade would never happen.
