Looks like he's only scoring from the front of the net, screening the goaltender. But who else is available. Offer sheet Laine ?</div></div>
It can be anyone Laine Conor Meier but we will have to overpay. Salary Cap increases every year in every sport. MTL can get 1st round picks in anyways possible if you get creative. Dubas as of right know is doing a good job managing contract and trades. I think it’s their job to live in that stress of work if not why are they working?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabStraction</b></div><div>Really interesting what you came out with, but i guess too crazy too happen . As stated, 14 M $/year for marner is too high. 12$ would do it. Second, Instead of Duchene, why not get a scoring winger (sniper) with size, (Stone, Kessel type) . Or Anders Lee for 7 M$. Your line up is too small for playoffs. One option: keep Petry and Sign Anders Lee. Petry is very solid...most nights!</div></div>
Yh i know it’s never gonna happen but I’m trying to show that is not so bad for the habs to do an offer sheet we can still get 1st round picks when we trade people like danault shaw Byron Tatar Petry
I agree with you Petry can be really useful for the Habs but i was trying to fit in the cap space and believing too much on Young Defenders to save the day.I know everybody likes Andres Lee with the habs but i am one of the few that don’t want him in MTL ( just not a big fan of him don’t know why maybe because of Pacioretty)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsForEver</b></div><div>5 Million dollars + Cap going up isn't enough money IMO. That is still without an upgrade to the defense. You need to get some cap space via a trade or something.</div></div>
We can’t also keep everybody. When the time will come we will loose players like everybody in the NHL. Petry IMO will not resign with Montreal Brooks Juulsen and Fleury will be taking his place. Paul Byron or Andrew Shaw will get traded or lost in the Seattle expension. Danault will not resign if he asks too much money Poehling and Suzuki will be ready don’t forget about Joel Teasdale. IMO MTL is not gonna end up like Toronto if they sign only Duchene. If they go for Gardner i will be with you on that MTL will be in big trouble.

Also, we can't enter the season with the same defensive core.</div></div>
That’s why Alzner is traded to VAN for Spooner. Spooner contract is only for 1 year so 3M$ is off the books next year for Domi Mete Juulsen
For the defence yh i know but i think a trade will happen during the season to try and fix it. FA are asking way to much money.

Habs 2019-2020
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Goldninja0</b></div><div>This is not a good team. Since Domi plays centre, then that's where you could have him play. You shouldn't have traded Lehkonen because he's still kinda young and a good player for any line except maybe the first. You definitely shouldn't have traded all the picks that aren't Montreal's because those are good picks. Having 7 picks in every year is not good. Scott Darling is just someone useless that's an AHL goalie and Lindgren will be the Habs 2019-20 backup, since we're not resigning Niemi. Juulsen and Kulak will be good players and you really shouldn't have traded them for a decent guy and a scratched guy. You are a big noob. You could've traded Alzner for something else, anything else.
This is one of the worst GMs I've seen</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>My understanding is that the Nucks have been talking about extending Markstrom. I get that they have Demko and then DiPietro coming, but neither of those guys is ready for a full time gig, and there's no reason to rush either one of them.
It would definitely be nice to get a guy that can play 25-30 games though. Miller has been good, and I'm betting that they'll sign him again, but Gibby/Markstrom > Gibby/Miller.
As much as I'd love to see EK in a Ducks sweater, I think I would rather see them try to pick up Myers for $6-6.5 than EK for $11. Just seems like a dangerous game to play, especially with the current long term deals given to players coming into their 30's on this squad.</div></div>
IMO Vancouver would rather draft a young player than sign a goalie who will not be there in the future. Plus Vancouver is still in rebuilding mode so i don’t see why they would think about really resigning Markstrom. They could find a good goalie in the market to replace Markstrom (Talbot is the guy in my mind) Ducks is doing that trade to remove Patrick Eaves from the cap

Anaheim can keep Patrick Eaves and waive him but i don’t see why they need Markstrom. They Have Demko who needs to play and then Dipietro is coming the year after so i don’t see why they need 3 goalies.

Habs ready for the playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RoadRunner72</b></div><div>First 3 trades don't look unreasonable. Two good prospects plus first and second round picks for Fowler might be enough if you also take Eaves contract away ($2.1M one more year). But I don't think you can expect to send Kulikov back to Anaheim without retaining some salary (he is $4.3M for 1 more year)
I'd love to have Fowler to shelter Mete, Romanov, Kulak and other young Habs D-men over the next few years. But Anaheim won't give up a top D like that unless you pay a premium for it.
Puljujarvi's value is still higher than Evans's ceiling, so might have to add more there from MTL side.
Nice lineup though</div></div>
For Kulikov
They can try him out till the end of the season and than either trade him if gain minimum value or buy him out (he is 1.4M$ next 2 years)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BCAPP</b></div><div>With where LA is, it probably isn't terrible value. Two firsts and two seconds, even low, is a lot of value and the kind of thing a team like LA wants. Zaitzev's contract is bad, but he is still a fine #4 defenseman, good #5, so probably work 3ish. That isn't the main problem with this trade
The main problem is it would absolutely destroy the Leafs cap. Try to do this trade, then sign Marner and Matthews next year (let alone Kapanen, Johnson, warm bodies even).</div></div>
Maybe Toronto could trade Nylander during the offseason……. I'm keeping Him just so that he can maybe get himself back this year but if not trade him for a late 1st round pick (Buffalo for exemple has a 3 first round pick in 2019 or Carolina for a 2020 1st round pick) and Toronto would be back to where they were (Nylander 6M$+ Zaitsev 4.5M$= 10.5M$) but with an elite defender

Why do we pay for Schlemko to play in the AHL..... Nyquist price IMO will be in this range maybe loss maybe me more. Niemi is good but Darling can maybe be good 2nd goalie too we remove a guy who will likely never play again for a guy to play 2nd goalie for the next 2 years (we can buy him out at his final year or trade him if he can get his value up). Cayden Primeau will take 2 to 3 years to be an NHL ready. IMO Montreal should trade Lindgren bcz Primeau could be the next goalie of MTL. Lindgren is an a weird situation bcz Price will be in MTL for the next 5 years minimum before we trade him or he retires (depands on what he wants)
