<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>Those would be 15-20 range of 1st rounders and PDL is hands down way better defensively. Draisaitl and McDavid are not average defensively, they are below average but are so good offensively it makes up for it. Thinking you would get more than this for Draisaitl is just homerism. It's not bandwagon anti Oiler stuff. It's just a smart hockey move. I doubt Columbus would do this.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JmoneyTalk</b></div><div>Overall, PLD may be "better" at D but he will never produce offensively like Draisaitl. Draisaitl may over rated into he sense of him being the 3rd best center, I think he's a top 10 center but yea he's been ranked a little high there. However, his D game is criminally under rated. It's unbelievable. To say it's anything less then average is laughable. I actually watch the Oilers and the only time he looks bad is when he takes long shifts and can't skate back. He's great on the pk when he plays, constantly getting sticks in lanes and at 5v5 consistently body's and strips the puck away. I don't care who are, you're all a bunch of bandwagoners trashing his D game. Makes you feel good about your team when you can find something to use in a negative way about other teams clear super stars.

Draisaitl may not be a "franchise" player. But please list how many teams have one? He's still among the most elite in the league and is without the best player in the trade today and for 10-15 years.

Savard in his prime is 100% a "huge" upgrade over KoeKoek, however KK is younger and is actually pretty solid so the "huge" upgrade isn't there. I would agree to a slight upgrade and even then is it worth saying it "balances" the trade or even creates more value significantly at all? Not a chance.

Korpi is a obvious upgrade.

Those two firsts form CLB have a pretty chance of becoming pretty high picks so yea there is some decent value there. But picks are picks, those picks could or could land any legit player and even then they could take 2-5 years to make an impact at all.

The team receiving the best player wins the trade. CLB receives the best player.

CLB doesn't laugh they, they start dancing around because they can't believe EDM would offer Draisaitl.

However, they counter, Draisaitl + Koskinen for PLD + korpi + 1st and a 2nd.

Oilers decline because they realised why would the ever trade there 2nd best 100 point line driving center for a buy who's reached 60 points once and hasn't got close to that any other time and for a goalie when they can sign a UFA this offseason and even then I think Holland should trade for G but they could probably get Korpi without trading any key peices. Not to mention those picks... Are they rebuilding or something?</div></div>
