Drouin does have more points than Donskoi, but Donskoi brings a lot more off the puck than Drouin does.

It's an interesting trade proposal, and it would save Colorado some capspace and get a better player - in a vacuum.

However, as <a href="/users/coga16" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@coga16</a> said, Drouin isn't a good fit on the 3rd line, nor is he a good fit for Bednar's style which requires strong two-way play and back-checking from forwards.

That being the case, despite it being a good trade value-wise, it's just not a good fit. Unless of course you try to squeeze Drouin into a very sheltered offensive role on the 2nd line somehow, like this for example:

im a huge Drouin hater but that doesnt do anything for value for the Habs and if you want a 3rd line player, Drouin is not a guy for that role, he needs to be in the top 6 and you just over look how poorly defensive he is.

The value seems way off to me. Why would Montreal downgrade from Drouin to Donskoi for a 4th round pick? In addition, they'd be retaining on Drouin for 3 years so they'd lose cap from this trade. Try retaining less on Drouin and sending a higher draft pick or prospect.

Logos should be used at the top of your posts about certain teams it will make it easier for people to search for their favorite teams and see who you are talking about so if I'm talking about the last sabres game I would do this -

Sabres had a lot of opportunity in this game to win and probably would have if Staal hadn't given it away and popped the teams bubble.

Not at all, I think PDL is way better defensively than Draisaitl and if he was in a more offensive system, he would produce more than he has. He's also younger and this would get you a defenceman who can actually defend as well as 2 firsts. This is a good trade for Edmonton.

Laughed when I saw Draisaitl on the list. Tough to gauge value on a trade like this when a player is untouchable like Draisaitl. There would definitely be more than a 2nd round (more so in the range of multiple firsts) as a sweetener given what Draisaitl has accomplished and his contract having 5 years left (including this one).

I'd say Korpisalo has more value than Merzlikins based on cap hit. I'd be hesitant to give up too much with Koskinen to go to Merzlikins given only $500k in cap savings and the fact that Columbus has a much better defense/defensive system. Numbers between the goalies may be deceiving based on the quality of shots they're seeing.
