Can you predict my future too? Don’t comment on things you don’t actually know. This signing is based off of Bostons long interest in Lindholm. And I’m not going to change my prediction based off of some Canucks fan that hopes his team didn’t sewer assets for months of Lindholm.

Boston has no business trading anymore 1sts for rentals.
Teading Beecher and picks to swap below average d men is pointless. Particularly when Forbort fills the role of top PK gut that Masta does not. Both are 3rd pair d men. All things being equal, rather have Forbort, which is not saying much for Maata.</div></div>
Fair for both points. I guess my thought process was an extension for Guentzel but with the bruins needing to pay Swayman and likely targeting either Hanifin or Lindholm that seems unlikely. As for Maatta your point also is fair, my process was to find a left shot d man that can restrict Grzelcyk’s minutes. With the bruins being strapped for assets and cash finding guys that fills that need is hard besides giving up a haul for Hanifin

I’m not very educated on Maatta but he’s been super reliable in for many years. The 5th is a cap dump and Beecher + a 3rd is a price I thought of because Maatta has term and the deadline prices are always inflated

Hall (was a monster when he first got to boston + he's a former hart winner)
Killorn (They payed for a 2 time cup winner that at the time was a lock for 50-65 points a year)
Zuccarelo (Always consistently near a point per game while not having a extensive injury history)
Karlsson (Won a cup and had 17 points in 22 playoff points)
Horrible comparisons.
Domi, Bunting, Klingberg... All players that played great situationally and didn't get PAYED.

Agreed, and Elliott Friedman said teams will be lining up July 1st for a goaltender. and if a team misses out, One of the best goalies in the league for a 1st and maybe one more small asset is not a crazy ask. As a matter of fact the Bruins almost had a first round pick last draft because Ullmark was close to being dealt.

The market tells me I'm closer to being right then you are. No player in Debrusk's situation has gotten 6+. Also streakiness proves my point pal. Especially in a contract year. My argument is using logic and reasoning while yours is just "he's gonna get paid." your right he will, but not the non logical numbers your proposing lmaoo

Tippet's having a great contract year, Debrusk is having a ok one. He will get paid but not much more then this.
I'm betting on Hanifin signing a hometown discount. But yes I agree he likely does get more on the open market
Don't need a star backup, if Sway wants big money it comes with responsibilities. Like playing 55-70 games a year. Just need a solid guy and DiPietro and Bussi look like either can fill that void.

3. doubt away. it's just a, "no, duh." situation. it's what the NHL market is. he had a slow start, avoid the recency bias. 6x6 is probably low end of market value for him.
4. generally speaking when a guy signs a one year, "prove it," contract, and then they go out and prove it, they get a raise. If you think the entire league will see what he's done in boston, and not view him as worthy of more than $1.1M, i don't know what to tell you.
6. just not sure what you're watching. the team certainly feels differently. it's bussi in a landslide.</div></div>
so have geekie rot on the fourth line while guys like Beecher and lauko rot in AHL? yeah Highly doubt that happens lol
he will NOT get 6x6, he will be lucky to get 5+. I get we love are guys but he's no where near a player worth 6+ lol and he wont get it.
He's been on prove it contracts since his previous days in Boston. Even after his great year with the Pens in 21-22 he still got a prove it deal.
Definitely not a landslide. Don't watch much Providence but the Stats back up DiPietro for this year. Its most Definitely not Bussi's position to lose lol.

2. 20 man rosters aren't a thing
3. debrusk gets significantly more.
4. Heinen gets more
5. wheres wotherspoon?
6. why not bussi?</div></div>
1. Geekie was someone I thought about not moving because he has been so great. But if the Bruins do sign a top 6 player in the offseason and don't plan on trading Lysell then someone is the odd man out. And Geekie makes the most sense for me because he has such a movable cap and he will be able to get the team a solid pick while making room for Lysell.
2. I know that lol that's why I left 3 million in cap space for whoever they see fit for depth (Wotherspoon, Zboril, Steen, Whoever...)
3. I highly doubt it, he's on pace for less than 50 points and he's not getting 6 million + on the market for fringe top 6 winger that has had consistency issues his whole career. That's fair value for both sides.
4. He definitely could but even after the best year of his career his contract was 1.1. So I do agree he should get more but his history tells me it wont be to far off. But I agree
5. Definitely could see Wotherspoon become a regular but if the Bruins do make Lohrei a consistent top 6 d man then potentially a more experienced d man may be a good option (like Shattenkirk this year)
6. DiPietro has been great in Providence and better then Bussi this year. Plain and simple, I'd give the job to whosever hot and right now it's Mikey.

A tandem that was horrid in the playoffs. Regular season wins are good, playoff wins are better. Love how great that tandem has been. But it doesn’t matter if you can’t win the cup

My assumption is we try to build up Bussi and see where he’s at next summer. If he’s ready, then maybe you consider it. He will require waivers next year and that will be a consideration.
After two years of great play, my assumption is Ullmark will carry more value in a year where he can extend immediately</div></div>
Right but why?
Both goalies are completely capable of taking the reigns
and lead the team each year. No cup winning team I can think of won the cup with goalies that switched every game.
If Bussi is ready give the reigns to Swayman and trade ullmark while he is at his maximum value.

Of course circumstances can change at the drop of a hat. But it’s very early in long term deal in the place he wants to be. Do the math.
As that contract and him get older and if the team is fading he likely will want try to go somewhere for a shot at the cup. But everything points to that being a last resort. Bourque did it, did not want to leave, but he didn’t do it with 5 years left on his contract and I doubt he would have.</div></div>
1. Bourque has nothing to do with RNH
2. I’m sure he’s very happy with his production and the current state of the team 🙄
3. People first is true however Bieksa spoke not to long ago team success and personal performance creeps into players lives and I’m sure the terrible Edmonton media doesn’t help his “love” for Edmonton.

Who’d decline playing for a team/city that’s desirable while that team is also the best in the league, I can also guarantee those guys that declined, either declined due to a better location or a team that was at the top (CURRENTLY BOSTON)

Zacha is 26 signed for 4 years, performing well as top 6 center.
Poitras will be around a long time, best suited for 3rd line right now but sure looks like a long term top 6 guy.
Neither will be PPG+ studs but they will get the job done. 37 and 46 only exceeded 65 points 3 times each in 19 and 16 years respectively. Neither ever hit 80.
Coyle has always been a good, unappreciated, middle 6 center that gets flack because if his contract, it’s overblown.
With Debrusk contract uncertain and Marchy on his last few years wing it could be argued they are deeper at center. Short and long term. 🤷🏻♂️
Now that being said, add a center move a center wing. Fixes both. 🤷🏻♂️</div></div>
That’s my thinking. Add a centre (Lindholm, Stamkos, Stephenson, Kuznetsov) whoever, and move Zacha to his natural position of wing and have Poitras be the 2nd line Centre next season and hopefully by not adding a winger Lysell can get a top 9 role next season.
