Captain change thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bf3351</b></div><div>I've heard a lot of Tampa fans say he's a bad captain and can't take them over the hill. I cant confirm any of that, but if you see what I did above, there's kind of a big roster reformation and maybe it would be the right time to do it. Idk though.</div></div>
I dont believe Stammer is the problem, I still believe he can lead this team to a cup

KIllorn's NTC becomes M-NTC July 1st with a 16 team no trade list so he could be moved

Sabres wo CBO TBLVANMIN Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>thewookie1</b></div><div>Well how exactly do you plan to sign him? Based on this website you'll have 5.3 mil in cap space with 3 defenseman and 7 forwards. However notable RFAs are the aforementioned Cirelli, Cernak, and Sergachev. If the Sabres offered the 7th Overall for Cirelli I'd think they would at least ponder it; its not like he's a huge point producer at this point.
Cirelli is the number 1 priority, him first everyone else is next
Well we can't exactly pay him to be Ristolainen with better skating but less physicality....
To be honest I was hunting for teams with 2 1sts who might need a Dman. Also the Wild pick is likely to be somewhere between 10 and 15 and the Pittsburgh pick is likely to be in the latter 20's</div></div>

Major moves with VAN TOR TB EDM
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>My thoughts are close to the same regarding to the Hughes trade. The demand is becoming so excessive that it simply isn't going to be worth for the team to offer much more.
Granted Hughes is a terrific player, but I don't feel like the players they're receiving are falling off that short either.
Regarding TOR trade, I think it's the maximum you're getting.
Imo Tampa trade makes sense if Bratt is dealt, since a replacing TOP6 LW is needed.
I think EDM would do the trade without the picks as well. Getting rid of Russell's cap should be in their interest.</div></div>
The Tampa trade doesnt make sense from Tampa's side, now that they wont have a RHD. Take Boqvist out and replace with a D and maybe or just drop Foote

The Islander are not going to want to trade with the Sharks if they OS one of their players. Also if Rutta is going to sign that contract he'll just stay in Tampa

Flat Cap Letting RFA Sign OS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>firezfurx</b></div><div>Yes but Dubas isn't exactly your traditional GM. Of course the chances of Cernak getting an OS are little to non, but I could see him traded for about equal value.</div></div>
I dont see Tampa trading him, they are in need of a RHD and Cernak pairs well with McDonagh. Its Cooper's go to shutdown pair that gets matched up against other teams top lines

Flat Cap Letting RFA Sign OS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>firezfurx</b></div><div>If you have 2.5 m to sign him he will get a 2.75 OS from Toronto or about 6 other teams for that matter. People have proposed a Cernak for Lilypad, but Lily>>>>>>>>>>>>2nd so Toronto won't bite.</div></div>
2.5 in Tampa is more in the pocket than 2.75 from Toronto

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kakko_to_New_York</b></div><div>wouldn't DeAngelo just fill in for Cernak and Lindgren for Sergachev? they match handiness</div></div>
Yeah but then Tampa will only have 2 RHD, Schenn is good depth but shouldnt be leaned on for a full season and Foote will be an unproven rookie

Cirelli and EDM Trade the next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheMooterus</b></div><div>As it sits now, Tampa has roughly $7M in cap space to sign players this offseason, and that's based off of CapFriendly's generous pre-shutdown assumption of an $84M salary cap. They will need to move a player or two in order to sign Cirelli, because he will be a very popular offer sheet candidate for teams this offseason. If the Lightning are able to move someone like Johnson or Killorn then it becomes a bit easier to sign Cirelli, but as it stands now it would take some insane financial gymnastics to sign Cirelli & fill the roster spots left by departing players this offseason.</div></div>
If there's a CBO then Tampa will be able to buyout one contract and find a trade partner for Killorn once his NTC becomes partial July 1st, freeing up about $9 million
