<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>dude you over here wanting to talk about numbers but leave out the part that Dillon was bleeding goals at 150% rate per minute on the ice as Pettersson. You are lookng at a .044 to a .029.
Thanks for playing.
I know it's hard to imagine this, but defense isn't about points, especially when it's at a 28point pace per season. You have to play your own zone, he struggled. It's why caps fans want him gone. Believe me if he didn't you wouldn't be hearing a word.
No matter how you look at this. He's a player who's not particularly an offensive player who struggled in his own zone outside of a sheltered role.
You think teams are paying 4 mil for years on that trade. I'm telling you good luck on that.
His immobility makes him a 3LD candidate aka a sheltered guy who you don't put in the harder situations. In a league with a flat cap for 2 years straight, teams don't have 4 mil for a 3LD. Hell they didn't have it last year either, which is why you saw moves like Nate Schmidt for a 3rd.
Even with the market in your favor, with the way the game keeps changing not being able to skate makes it harder and harder to move guys.
No one wants a pylon back there. WSH didn't figure that out last year, hence the mistake of Chara.
Everyone else is.</div></div>
Lol xgf% are equal. Unless you don’t understand what that means? Both players are identical. Thanks for playing ?Defense isn’t about points but when players have similar defensive skill sets I use points to tie break. Yeah penguins are fast and mobile and have won 3 playoffs games in 3 years lol. Teams are looking at add grit bud. Your GM said that’s what they are looking to add. If Dillon is a 3LD so is Pettersson. Ignore the facts but you claim DILLON is average but you made threads trading for him. Your a living contradiction.
Offense - Dillon by a mile
Defense - Equal
Possession- Pettersson
You might be too bias to have a reasonable opinion about this.

New Idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>it's not about the player coming to the penguins, I've proposed that idea already. But it was done with retention because that's what the penguins would need. There is also no way they give up Pettersson for him. He has value, they aren't giving up value for a guy who needs to be rehabbed.
Dillon is a cap dump for WSH. I don't know how you can see all these frustrated WSH acgm posts and not figure that out. Do I think he can be rehabbed in the right role, yes I do, much like Ceci was.
But he's very limited as a player because he doesn't skate well. WSH knows this. Which is why they want to move him.</div></div>
“ But it was done with retention because that's what the penguins would need” exactly you are thinking about the Penguins needs and don’t consider the Capitals needs. They can easily trade Dillon he’s a top 4 Dman
Pettersson had 9 points in 47gp. That’s a 15 point pace.
51.35cf%. 52.33ff%. 51.54 xgf%
Dillon had 19points in 56gp that’s a 28 point pace.
50.40cf%. 50.65ff%. 51.56xgf%
Lmfao I love how Dillon is basically a “cap dump” but Pettersson isn’t and has drastically more trade value even with worse offensive production and equal xgf%

Wilson deterrent Sheeesh
there is literally no such thing as a Wilson deterrent. There never has been, there never will be. Colton Orr beat the tar out of Lucic and it never stopped him. Matt Cooke got his clock cleaned a few times, never stopped him.
And as far as 'revenge' plays, those dont work either. If WIlson hurts your guy, then your guy hurts one of their guys then Wilson will just go out and hurt a 2nd guy on your team.

No...he left because of money. Pens couldn`t pay him what he got in FA.
Yes...again, I know you don`t have any actual knowledge but coaches have won the Jack Adams and been fired in the same season. Mike Sullivan deserves Jack Adams and if the get blown out by NYI then there is a chance he is gone. Again, very doubtful that happens.
And again, today, another player just came out and publicly advocated for Sullivan.
You`re a goof who literally has not been accurate about a single thing on this website. You are a parody account.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>Rust is better on the RW than LW. And Kap is a RW.
This is the hold up there.
The real solution to this is to put Zucker with Crosby and Jake with Geno.
Everyone knows this.
There are multiple people on here saying this over and over again. But he just refuses to do it.
Jake can play with Geno, there will be no drop in production there. We know this, he's done this already.
You hope to get more out of Zucker with Crosby.
Which he did when he first got here.
Yet Sully can't seem to figure out that it deserves a chance to see what it can do. It's not like he couldn't have done this in season. Now if they do it they have to hope for some chemistry being instant.</div></div>
What are you talking about? What “solution”? They just clinched the division? Why would they split up the line that got them there? I can assure you that Jake and Sid will not be split up.
Sully deserves coach of the year this year for guiding the Pens to the top of the toughest division in the league with the most man games lost. He has been brilliant. And due to injuries the only constant was the top line. Breaking that up is 100% not happening and makes 0 sense.
We have 4 great lines. If Malkin plays well we have as good of a shot as anyone.

That’s a lot for pgh to give up.
Gave up a 1st and Hallander for Kappy. Hallander was the Pens 5-6th ranked prospect( a B-, C+ prospect at best). Poulin is a top 100 prospect in the NHL. On any list. He’s a A, A- prospect. Plus you’re adding Pettersson. And Friedman. That’s a lot for Reinhart IMO.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GuentzelvaniaUSA</b></div><div>The depth is incredible
Prefer to keep ZAR-Teddy-Tanev together and use Zucker/McCann-Carter-Gaudreau
Carter ****ing rocks and I want him at center</div></div>
Carter and his RH stick on FO’s has been huge. He’s been playing great!! Great two-ways!!
Just keep Zucker away from Geno and off his line. They don’t work well 2gether. Keep it McCann/Geno/Kappy and Zucker/J.Carter/Gaudreau then. And obviously Guentzel/Sid/Rust. And then ZAR/Blueger/Tanev.
E-Rod as a healthy scratch is huge too. He can come in and fit in on any line and any position. And Friedman/Ruhwedel/Riikola/PO-Joseph/Y.Weber is very good D-men depth.

Re-signing RFAs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>you're a homer. You have no ability to think for yourself. Hell you don't even have the ability to think. You clearly don't understand the argument being made you just come here to opine stupidity.
There are plenty of fans who don't think they protect McCann. You seem to think he's some legit top 6 player that he isn't. He's never been.
If you could read, you would see that I said it would be one of Zucker or McCann. But your inability to comprehend people is limited by your inability to actually be litterate.
What isn't going to happen is they won't be losing a C. I know you're new to hockey, and your mouth is bigger than your brain. But good teams are built down the middle.
Wingers are replaceable, and you clearly don't get that. McGinn is a good player, hell his production 5v5 production where it counts is greater than McCann's, so if he's a bad player what the hell is McCann?
Your inability to figure out that McCann is just an average 3rd line winger and nothing that great. Hell at least McGinn shows up in 5v5. His 5v5 close is 5 goals to McCann 2. In other words, he makes plays when you need one , McCann does not. Why you try to rip on McGinn is just pathetic.
Not that it even needs to be McGinn, there are a dozen 3rd line wingers this team could sign. The cap is flat, money is tight, and they can get a player of equal value of McCann out of FA without giving anything else up. You can't say that about Blueger. Because it's not true. But your small weak mind is unable to grasp that. Which is why we are done here.
PS. look how you dodge your bad takes above. So pathetic, shot your mouth off and got put in place.......again.
Come on, lets here how POJ but on 30lbs again all off season and he's clearly an NHL player so we can post the videos of him benched for the whole 3rd period because he got his ass shoved around all over the ice. But you want to knock Maniscalco who can at least hold his own and doesn't bleed goals. What a joke. You opine on **** you don't even watch. away with you.</div></div>
Cap is flat. Money is tight. Exactly. Lose the less productive, older, and more expensive winger in Zucker. Or just get rid of MP like the entire fan base wants and save more than $4M that way. I would put money on the Penguins protecting McCann. They won’t let a young player like him go for nothing when they can free up $5.5M in Zucker. This is all you do on this site is spew nonsense and act tough. Get bent kid lmaooo

Re-signing RFAs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>I think ZAR is on his way out.
There are only so many roster spots. Someone has to go so someone else can come in. That's all there is to that.
You got guys like Poulin and OConnor who will probably be fighting for spots next year. OConnor is too good of a player to sit in the AHL. He's a PPG player down there. Given he was a rookie this year, but his inexperience and nerves is really the only thing that held him back. He's going to be a good bottom 6 player in the NHL. He also adds a bit more size.
Even if they lose one of McCann or Zucker, they still don't really have room due to Poulin.
You got issues on the bottom of this roster where you got a lot of guys chomping at the bit and at some point they are gonna get ice time.
ZAR has been a good player, but sell high. They already have the replacement.</div></div>
When are people gonna get sick of you saying the Penguins are dumb enough to lose McCann? They aren’t gonna leave him unprotected dude. Just won’t happen.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>yeah except at no point did they do that.
Wilson doesn't care if you run one of his guys. Are you kidding me. They want to play dirty. To him it's just an excuse for what he does.
Every single hockey fan outside of WSH is laughing about this comment. Do you really think anyone is giving WSH any sympathy? They get what they deserve at this point .Someone could Matt Cooke a WSH player and everyone would say karma. That isn't on everyone else that's on the caps.
Suspending him wasn't gong to stop it, and the NHL didn't want it to stop. Are you kidding me, hell they were hoping it would be worse. Drive ratings etc...
One thing I know about the supposed DOPS is that they don't care. Ratings over people. What it boils down to in the end is the rangers gave the wrong response. They gave the NHL exactly what it wanted for encouraging this crap. They should have never dropped gloves all over the ice. It's highlight reel stuff, they sit around and go...oh old school hockey 143 minutes in the box ..blah blah blah.
If they wanted to send a message they should have just went out, knee on knee a few guys, run the goalie and been done with it.
But instead they just went out there to boost ratings.</div></div>
The funny thing is I don’t expect anyone to “feel bad” for the Capitals. They understand it’s a mans sport and they built a team for this exact situation. You sound like a crazy ex girlfriend that recently found out her bf banged her best friend and you are going full blown clown mode. Lol it’s embarrassing you need to come back down to the earth lol. Just love the bitter irony of you. You claim to dislike Wilson bc of his violence but are rock hard to see some violence lol. You are quite the paradox
