Stars 21-22 What I want not what Nill will do
I see Heiskanen signing a similar deal than Barzal. He will want to wait until the Cap goes up again.
I am also unsure if he wants to be in Dallas long term. The way we play and the role he has, does not give him the opportunity to unleash his offensive talents.
At 5 on 5, he is playing tons of minutes with our garbage line of Faksa-Comeau-Cogliano. Not a lot of offensive opportunities playing with those offensive black hole.

Wish List
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EvanW</b></div><div>I do too, but I find it easier to undervalue to make a point as opposed to get people that do not agree and get hung up on value. This scenario is assuming Bishop is fine, my next year "wish list."</div></div>
I’d take that in a heart, if you made a 2nd and 4th I’d take it without a question

Jslongo Top 10 Teams Thread
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EvanW</b></div><div>I don’t have an issue with the list. It is natural and just for people to evaluate talent on paper before there is any data.
After 7/8 of a season, and a bubble situation in which every single team was subject to the same conditions, I would argue there is plenty of data to analyze.
When you are attempting to evaluate two different teams is it more efficient to do so “on paper,” or based on the data that was provided over multiple matchups between the two subject teams being compared?
If you ask any GM or player, is the team that is “better on paper” or the team that wins the head to head matchups over the course of 12 months the better team, what would the answer be?
If a team has (some) talent, great team chemistry, and plays well together, would that not be the definition of a good team? One that people strive to build and be apart of? If you have a good team on paper but have unfavorable matchups, are you really an elite team? If you are on paper, superior to an opponent but they dictate the entire way a game is played and beat you because of it, are you an elite team? A complete team is one that can play anyone, at any style, and come out on top.
This isn’t football, you have multiple times to demonstrate your ability against other teams of ability. At the end of the season, no matter how it gets done, the better team presents itself.
It is amazing that when presented a complete set of data, anyone can come to a conclusion that Dallas and Tampa are not the two “best teams” in hockey this season.</div></div>
Honestly "Best" team seems to be very subjective. In sports when you have to deal with unplanned things, such as, 'weird' bounces, injuries, illness, mental state. There are so many factors when it comes to actually winning games.

They’ve wasted more than just this year. Sit back and enjoy

Blow it all up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EvanW</b></div><div>How would you fix what we have?
I forgot to add the most important line, the first line. New GM and new coach(es). Would not be upset if Gaglardi had to sell. Him being out of town seems to be an issue.</div></div>
As a DAL fan my "dream scenario" would be something like this:
First and foremost hire a new coach and preferably a new GM. New owner would be fine as well. Ideally for coach I'd bring Gallant and as for GM I'd maybe take a punt and hire Jere Lehtinen for this role. He's the GM of Finnish National Team and he has done awesome job there. He'd likely have some nice inner knowledge about European talent as well...
I'd build a speedster team with the core with Seguin and Heiskanen as the leaders. Benn contract is an anchor one and it won't be moved (not a problem imo, I dig the guy personally). Trade Radulov, Klingberg and Faksa for future assets (they all can garner pretty nice value). Ideally I'd like to trade Klingberg for a young TOP6 winger with term (Boeser or Nylander would be ideal), Radulov for a solid but relatively cheap RD (Montour would fit quite well for example as BUF needs some depth wingers, but I don't see Radulov waiving his NMC unfortunately), and then Faksa for a 2nd a 3rd rounders. Having some much needed picks is essential because our prospect pool is quite thin.
If money is sufficient, I'd try to sign a star D-man from free agency. Pietrangelo would be ideal, but I wouldn't be too mad about Barrie for example. If this is possible, then I'd consider trading Lindell for a young center such as Max Domi or Dylan Strome. Both CHI and MTL need TOP4 LHDs making them a good targets for a potential Lindell trade.
Just assuming that everything goes as planned, I'd roll the lines as:
Hintz-Seguin-Boeser/Nylander - line costs around $20M
Benn-D.Strome-Gurianov - costs $18M
Robertson-Dickinson-Pavelski - costs $10M
Cogliano-L'Esperance-Comeau - costs $6M
Heiskanen-Pietrangelo/Barrie - costs from $7 to 10M
Harley-Montour - costs $5M
Oleksiak-Johns - costs $5M
Bishop-Khudobin - costs $7M
Allegedly this lineup would cost around $80M bucks, so some altering must be done to fit the healthy scratches, but I do believe this is possible to some extent.

BUF and TOR
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>klingberg and Lindell are 2 RHD.
We have Rasmus Ristolainen, Colin MIller, Henri Jokiharju under contract, Brandon Montour as an RFA and WIll Borgen ready to graduate to the NHL at RHD already.
Not that there isnt value there. If we trade reinhart it better not be for defense.</div></div>
If Dallas every offered you that for Reinhart, pull the trigger immediately and then sell Montour and Ristolainen for forwards. Your defence would be nuts and Reinhart isn't that good to begin with.
