<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caerii</b></div><div>Can't see Minnesota wanting Liljegren at all. Can't see them paying anything for Jarnkrok.</div></div>
This is a haul for Gustavson.. Minnesota would be 'stupid' for not taking this. A+ goalie prospect to battle with Wallstedt as the corner stone of this trade.
Liljegren can be signed for 2x2 which is very very reasonable due to his upside and jarnkrok is a utility guy that can help their retool on a very friendly contract.
Worst comes to worst, they trade Liljegren and Jarnkrok after a year for 2 3rd round picks and they win this deal, if the players work out or not.

Why do you Colton drops his NMC to join the Leafs.</div></div>
Tavares to waive is very unlikely. Thats why I wrote - Attempt to trade him. Of all places, he would likely only consider a team that is favorable for his income and where he has a chance to win, Dallas or Florida would be the only places. Dallas has the room and best fit. Getting Dvorak brings back Domi-Dvcorak-Marner, a huge moral boost for those 3 to compete.

You are missing an arm and a leg for the Marner trade. Replace Pullock with Dobson and you have a deal.
Marner is and will be the best player in a trade with NYI at all times. I doubt he waives for NYI.

Worst case Toronto adds 2026 3rd pick from Dallas to get the deal done. Other centers are also available for that price point. The Avs need to shed cap, Toronto has no space for Jarnkrok, its a simple hockey deal with Avs getting 1-2 picks for the effort.
Shedding cap is worth quite a lot these days, Avs highly consider this deal for sure.

Hildeby, close to NHL level, deserves his chance on a 3rd goalie spot.
2 fourth rounders and a A level prospect is worth more than just a 2nd rounder.
Check percentage of 2nd rounders making it into the nhl with more than 150 games, it isn’t much.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DRW2025</b></div><div>You sure? He still isn't a full time NHL player.</div></div>
Simple calculation by Robertson's Agent.
Goals scored in NHL devided by total cap = x amount per goal. 8168 goals scored in league, total cap for the league was 2.7 billion.
That is almost $330k per goal.
Robertson scored 14... 14 x 330 = 4.6 mil. That will be the their negotiation standpoint that he won't sign for below 1.25 for anything longer than 2 years

Scary team, can see this be a cup contender right away.
Don't think all the trades will work out tho. Toronto can't take that cap hit.
You've overvalued Fox against Sergachev, thats sergachev and prospect for Fox at most. you can forget about the 1st, and without that 1st all your trades die.

Realistic or not
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GolfBall</b></div><div>Laine would be a bad trade at any cost above $3M, never mind $6M. One dimensional player at best. Toronto would be better to trade Reaves and use some of the picks you are offering to get other teams to swallow much of Laine's inflated contract, then hopefully trade him rather than ever play him. Not wild about Elvis either. Overpaid, underperformed. Why give up positive assets on a between the pipes dream.</div></div>
Laine is worth the gamble for 6M - paired with a marner or domi who can facilitate, he'll get 30-40 goals. He hasn't had good players next to him. Can always trade him away after this season if it doesn't work out.
Elvis is a different story, very underrated. Look at his history, when he plays with a good team, he is a star and can play as a #1, which is highly needed with Woll being injury prone. Worth to take a shot on him + 2.7 for a starter for 3 seasons is a big steal.

Lou takes that deal and runs with it. He'll find a replacement.
Robertson won't sign 3x900k. He'll require a minimum of 1.25-1.5 for 3 years.

If it’s a rental it works out for both teams, toronto didn’t loose everything. Nashville still ended up on top in this trade. If saros resigns for 4+ years toronto perhaps wins if the cap is ‘friendly’

Since it's a year where they are building for the next one, Robertson gets one more year to establish himself, Liljegren to show he is worth keeping. As well for Blais who is been downwards since Berube left. Lambert gets his #1 fav defensive player for a year, maybe two if he can keep it up and will be very important for his PK set-up in key moments.
