Here are the leading scorers in Liga.

Now you look at that list and ask yourself. Is anyone running to sign these guys or willing to trade the moon for them?
He's out there looking ok, but nothing world breaking against clearly non NHL level competition.
He didn't do all of much at the NHL level.

You might as well rush out and sign Eemeli Suomi or John Persson.

His value is not that high. Mid round pick range. Bottom 6 forward level.

Well for starters, the top 2 scorers are 36 and 27 years old. So no, nobody should be calling about those 2. The third guy who is tied for 2nd, is 23 but didn't enjoy the same pre-draft success Puljujarvi so maybe he's a bit of an unknown. He's almost 24, playing in a league where nobody seems to respect the NHLe numbers so that should give you a reason why not to trade anything for him (he is drafted by FLA in 3rd round though) and him and Puljujarvi play on the same line. 4th guy on the list is 22, tied with Puljujarvi in points and was a 2nd round pick. So he's still considered a prospect right?

Puljujarvi is the youngest of the bunch, had pre-draft success (that's why he was highly touted and will have perceived value), and is basically tied for 2nd in that whole league for points. YOUNGEST = has value. He's producing at that league at that young age. Only real clear guy above him is a 36 year old. His numbers show that it is equivalent for 40 pts in the NHL which is around what some 2nd liners in the NHL get.

And lastly, before you say not NHL level competition to try and discredit Puljujarvi's success, why are ALL NHL teams drafting players in that league and letting them develop there? Maybe NHL teams do respect that league enough because they allow their own players to develop there. Only because Puljujarvi was a former 4th overall pick that this is a story.

Did Dal Colle get any heat for not playing in the NHL right away? What about Shane Bowers? Cale Makar and Bowen Byram? Nobody talks about them because they are not ready and their organizations sent them back, something the Oilers should've done. Tyler Benson was drafted in the 2nd round by Edmonton older that Puljujarvi, you don't hear a single word about him because he's being developed properly.
All those players have value, so does Puljujarvi.
