Much Needed Change
U are obviously no that educated on players value and stocks.
Marner going to nj on a 1yr 10.9 deal for a 0.9 ppg defenseman and a rookie who is 3rd in calder and nj top propect and a hughes brother. Hard no.
Forsberg is worth A prospect like cowen along with guys like knies minten a first and jt.
Saros is worth rielly 1rst maybe a lil sprinkle of smt else
Your better off doing marner lil smt else for like saros and mcd

As a habs fan watching mony the last 2 seasons i believe he might be better at the c on the pp as he wins draws and is great infront.
Also do you think he might test fa and sign back in mtl or somewhere else?
Chatfield getting 5x5 is crazy maybe 3x3
Also walkers stock went up hes getting north of 4.25 easily

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FarhanLuigi</b></div><div>He makes 4.8M, elite skater with 62 points. He's not Ghostbear.
He's always been incredibly talented but was played into the ground in Florida then was a monster in Pittsburgh by every metric.
I dont think the Habs should trade him for magic beans. I do realize 95% of everyone here would rather trade every decent player for a 1st round pick but that isnt a great strategy as Mtl found out with Arturi Lehkonen for a 1st and 2nd which many called too much at the 2022 TDL yet he's irreplaceable in Colorado, today!
Matheson is also irreplaceable in Montreal and I dont think Kent Hughes is going to give away another foundational piece just to make a trade for magic beans.
This a cap league and a top pair D at 4.8M with term and still young. You dont trade that kind of known asset. Hronek is going to get 7M AAV in Vancouver.
Matheson is an absolute steal right now at that AAV.</div></div>
Im a habs fan and i agree with him being better then gos but at the same time hes a top 5 minute logger in the whole league.
Hes not great defensively but not bad either as hes mtls #1 and plays against every teams top lines and pp.
And with hutson and playoffs in the hunt id trade matheson for the best offer to package the top value return parts for a possible demidov Lindstrom necas zegras and johnston

Making it work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>I can imagine investing a fourth in one season of Cody Ceci as a depth move if our efforts to land a top-4 RhD all fail, but we have no interest in the disappointing Bourgault or need for a sixth LD in Broberg, so we'll hang on to our 37-goal scorer, whom we might want to re-sign next summer. Plus the thought of turning him loose with McDavid and Draisaitl and becoming Zach Hyman 2.0 is too frightening to contemplate for very long.</div></div>
When u say frightning do u mean like that the package will look weak to the pontential with the oilers?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Droakner</b></div><div>Ducks reject on so many levels that they might just not even pick up. plus no reason for the trade, we can buyout Campbell so we don't have to spend the farm and all our draft picks dumping him.
Gibson has just plain not been good these last few years, weather that's because of the ducks in a rebuild or if he is just regressing I don't know, all I know is that we don't want him, we have Skinner
frankly the signings are okay, personally not a fan of Cousins and want nothing to do with him and his play
and that Nurse buyout is sure something</div></div>
Honestly watching gentzul this season shows he doesnt need crosby and is the best fa available with hyman turning into a beast infront of the net another star playmaker would fill out that top 6 and just get a checking grinder bottom 6.
Cousins is a nasty player but imagine him and perry same line all season just gross for the ops.
Nurse is solid top 4 dmen but at that cap id rather give that money to a better impact forward.
I also understands this kinda ****s up the d but who can u get for better contracts then a solid top 6 dmen in savard who blocks shots kills penalties a good vet cup winning leader. And zadorov i just took the big checking type of dmen maybe theres a better shutdown option.
Ifnt giby is vatrano still a good top 6 option, might me a new hyman for a playmake like rnh and dri.
Pickard also proved to be a good fringe backup this year might of over stepped.

I forgot mckenna aint available till 26 but that was just a troll trade aint no one giving up a franchise player.
But 2024 id target
Demidov and greentree
2025 id target
Mcqueen (better be #95)
Mtl will be so good and dominate with big strong talented forwards

Your right if my prediction is accurate ylonen can be move andy and gally bought out or traded if the step up value.
Rhp tuch xhekaj pezz fill that aggresive 4th line roles
Beck mesar roy fill a good 3rd checking line.
Dach demidov slaf is a good big puck controlling line
Mcqueen and greentree are also good big body player. Realistically werent getting mckenna i forgot hes in 2 years not next years draft.
Newhook Suzuki Caufield are a good offensive line

Harris is a young lhd rfa controlled plays both side of the ice. Towards the end of the season his game took a bigger step with offence and defence. Real solid top 6 d for his career.
Evans is really good and cheap for his role he pks wins draws and is defensively minded. If he wasnt playing with scraps i feel as if he can hit 40 points with top 9 minutes hes pretty fast and good on the rush.
Both players are good replacements for blueger and myers as there contracts are up and would save millions.
