Your words, not mine. It's all good. Enjoy your hatred for Detroit :)

Oh I agree. lol I just made one for fun to see…. Team is solid but not realistic. Won’t post for the simple fact it would be ripped to shreds.
Here’s the bullet points from it:
Cat-Larkin-Marner
Ras-Compher-Razor
Mazur-Kasper-Copp (see where it goes off the rails here)
Veleno-Danielson-Fischer
Ed-Mo
AJ-Roy

Seider and Raymond are gonna command $17M, give or take, of Detroit's $30M in cap space. (Assuming Holl buyout) **** sucking the rest of that up with Marner.</div></div>
Probably no realistic way correct. But in terms of this proposal (which is already unrealistic), if PlayStation/xbox moves were made and assets were siphoned there is a way lol. Wouldn’t be smart of comfortable, but the team would be solid.

Before it got to that point I don't see those being the pieces that the Leafs want.
Now if there were some world where he decided to not take a huge bump, SY signs him to a 4 year deal, you find a way to make it work. Hopefully the ELC contracts would fill the gaps otherwise occupied by stop-gap plugs (Kane/Perron/etc.). A lot of pieces would need moving.

Might as well keep Fabbri if you are signing Roslovic. Doesn’t make much sense wasting draft capital to dump Fabs at 4M for one year to add another similar production player at 4.1M for two seasons.

Too much and too long for Kane, too much for Joey V, rather buy out Holl and keep Copp for his defensive game and to help Kasper/Danielson as a complimentary winger who can take draws or play C in the dzone when they come up.

Sens D moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Augustus</b></div><div>Would Detroit exchange Maatta and the 16th overall pick in the 2024 draft to acquire Jakob Chychrun? I think possibly. Getting another 1st round pick will help ease the sting of the Senators having to give one up probably in 2026, for the Dadonov trade debacle.
The second part of this is that, since the Kings may not be able to afford him, the Senators push hard to sign Matt Roy.
Ott:
Sanderson - Zub
Chabot - <em>Roy</em>
<em>Maatta</em> - Bernard-Docker
Det:
Walman - Seider
<em>Chychrun</em> - Petry
Edvinsson - Chiarot</div></div>
No, the 16th pick is needed to add a wing prospect or to be a trade chip for an upgrade to a position of need (RHD/2C/TOP6W).
Roy on the other hand, makes a lot of sense for the Wings to try and snag in UFA without the cost of pick 15/16.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SweetRevenge19</b></div><div>How so? </div></div>
Two bridge deals that line up Seider and Razor to potentially get huge long term raises at the same time, limiting flexibility.
Trading Burgers for change of scenery D that doesn’t have the upside once current prospects make it up. Detroit’s weakest prospect position is winger, so JB is more valuable to Detroit than another D who will have to compete with Tuomisto, Gibson.
Bringing in Broberg while taking in Soup. A LHD that is going to battle with Albert Johansson, William Wallinder, Shau Buium. Biggest loss here is burying that much for that long.
Getting rid of Walman for a price you could probably attain from Maata. How quickly people forget he was the Wings best D for good portions of last season and this year prior to injury.
Bringing back a player who SY didn’t want to give term to, wanted too much for what he brought back, and save for this year hasn’t been available for long stints.
Don’t know enough about Joshua but that feels like a regrettable contract. Wouldn’t mind Chatfield though.
Danielson, Kasper, Soda all making the team (especially Soderblom considering Berggren was the best Griffin by a landslide and he apparently isn’t any good).

Whether or not it's with Detroit is different. The worst part about Yzerman is his insistence to play/sign plugs even after our young guys prove that they deserve the spot.</div></div>
Has been frustrating, but I’m just holding onto the hope he wants all of those guys gelling together as they come up. Kasper/Mazur, Burgers/Soda.
I just honestly don’t get how Burgers doesn’t play over Czarnik.

Except for:
- Defensively responsible
- Helped Seider get over the curse of Chiarot
- Outplayed his worth (shouldn’t be top pairing but DET had no other options)
- wants to be in Detroit
- still at a solid age
- great contract (not too much money/term)
- battles and goes after other team stars trying to make life miserable
- loved in the locker room
- liked by fans
Not saying he’s the greatest thing ever, but to have him in an appropriate role on the middle pair is fantastic until a prospect takes over

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>Interesting little history dive, Stevey Y and Verbeek took over from Holland before the 2019 draft in Detroit, their draft picks in the first round were Seider, Raymond, and Edvinsson. Steven Y's first "miss", if you can call it that, was after Verbeek left in Kasper.
Really is too bad wings fans had to suffer under Hollands inability to draft. I'm wondering now if Verbeek looked at the 2020 draft and decided he wouldn't have taken Drysdale at 6 and hence that's why he traded for Gauthier.</div></div>
Watching that train wreck on the way down before Holland left was a tough watch. It still mystifies me just how bad it really was. It's also great now that SY is is here and have so many teams hate on him but so far his prospects seem to be working out lol
The Anaheim-Detroit connection has always been fun to watch (except for one playoff series that will not be named...but Giggy WAS that playoffs).
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazorSeider53</b></div><div>Little weird to call a barely 20 year old a miss given how he's been playing the 2nd half of this AHL season.

I believe he was implying some fans may assume that (stat watchers) Kasper is a miss, but said "if you can call him that" implying its far too early to tell (again to those who don't follow him as much).

Not like the Red Wings will miss a 2nd and 3rd with all of their young prospects</div></div>
Husso has played one NHL game since Christmas…

You also get a chance at the 1st pick. I don’t like this trade for either teams though. Anaheim could really build there franchise around Luneau and this pick and the same if you guys.</div></div>
Detroit is at the end of the rebuild. On the back end, Mo has arrived, Edvinsson joins full time next season. Wallinder/Johansson aren’t far behind…. Followed by ASP.
In net, Cossa and Augustine are developing nicely.
Up front, Danielson and Kasper seem like a nice 2/3C combo behind Larkin (assuming their development continues). Winger will be the position of need as it’s the weakest in the prospect pipeline.

Fair reasoning, I would assume they sign someone and Luneau looked good in his short stint in the NHL this year. I'll be curious to see if Sieder gets bridged or a long term deal, I wonder if contract asks become a sticking point with Stevey Y</div></div>
SY typically doesn’t like handing out the long term and does prefer bridging, but with the cap rising he may see a benefit of going 8 with the main core pieces. It would be a kick in the pants if Seider ends up signing a bridge and than ends up costing 10+ in a few years.
It’s hard to imagine SY sending out an established 22yo RHD already playing top line that could be retained for most of his prime.
