If he wants to come back to NA
I think he's under contract for the 2020-21 season in the KHL. So if he wanted to come back, it would have to be the following year.

An ELC has nothing to do with him being an undrafted FA. It's about age and status. Any rookie under the age of 25, their first contract will be an ELC. How many years it can be depends on the age of the player.

Sergachev Sheet and Starting to Improve
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMarch</b></div><div>TBL would match anything under $5mm for Sergachev, and under $3.5mm for Cirelli pretty easily. How do they pay for it? Here is how:
<strong>Threaten players with NTC with demotions (happens all the time) in this order: Gourde, Johnson, Palat, Killorn (who has a limited NTC for 2020-2021). You either waive or go to Syracuse. Guaranteed they all give JBB a list of places they'll go. Know that you won't get full value for any of these guys.</strong>
Say goodbye to Maroon, Schenn, and Bogosian.
Promote Foote to fill in 1 D spot
Promote Volkov to fill 1 F spot
Trade Coburn (at 1.7mm for 1 year, a very good option as 5/6 dman) or say goodbye to Shattenkirk (who is going to command $3mm+ on the open market anyway)
Buy an LTIR guy from a team (Zetterberg is a good candidate)
Don't overpay Cernak (should come in around 2.25mm max)
There are plenty of examples of TBL making it work on the boards. But one thing I did see someone do is to put together a package for Stamkos, which is something I would consider entertaining if I'm JBB. That's $8mm right there.</div></div>
Pretty sure that wouldn't work. As a player I would call their bluff. And if they did send the player down, it doesn't solve the issue of needing cap space. Back to square one and now you've pissed off the players.

PHI trade with TOR DAL OTT
Value wise I'm not entire upset up with the TOR trade. I like Kapanen, however based on what's going out and what's coming in for Philly, just doesn't seem like a necessary trade in my opinion. Rather just keep Myers and if they really need a 3RW, probably could find one without giving up Myers.

All I'm trying to saying is if you're going resigning Lindblom, no reason why you shouldn't resign Patrick too. Both have to battle back and recover from their unfortunate circumstance. Patrick has been skating in practice with the team before the pause, so that's why I put the odds of him returning higher than Lindblom at the moment (of course things can change). Realistically, I think both just get a QO just to retain their rights. They can talk about a contract once their future is bit more clear.

You signed Lindblom though. I'd say, as of right now, there's a higher chance Lindblom is never able to play in the NHL again than Patrick. I'd imagine fighting cancer is a bit tougher to deal with than dealing with migraines.

CBO jvr or voracek voracek option
I'm not sure Grant will be that low. I would guess maybe around Raffl money, maybe more since they've produced at the same level.
Not sure you can pencil in Lindblom, we don't even know if he'll even be able to play in the NHL again. Let alone come back next season.
Also not sure why we are trading Patrick. Think you probably just stick it out with him and hope he recovers from his migraines. There's no incentive to move him unless there's the belief he's never going to play again. Which case why would any team trade for him?
And I don't see a reason for CBO on JVR or Voracek right now. Both are producing and this team is trying to win. I say keep both and if you really want to shed one of their contracts, expose them in the expansion draft next summer.

Konecny is currently producing at a higher rate this season, on a cheaper and longer contract, and is 3+ years younger than Gaudreau. I get the argument of selling high on a player to get a player who's known to produce big numbers, but just looking at it in terms of this year, TK has been better. And in a season where the Flyers are absolutely trying to make the playoffs, it just doesn't make sense from a Flyers point of view.

Wennberg for a AHL player (potential bottom six), and goalie who's struggled in the NCAA, and a mid round pick.
Kapanen for a LTIR player, an AHL player (potential bottom six), a bottom six Dman, and a late round pick.
Miller for NCAA player who's entering their senior year and could go to UFA and a mid round pick.
Going to need to better.

EDM and WPG Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wolsen92</b></div><div>Okay, that Trouba trade, Fletcher should be fired on the spot for the massive overpay, you could get trouba without moving big pieces, you could easily get trouba for a couple picks and Hagg and another prospect, we cannot give up Patty yet, he is only 20!!, The EDM trade is good, we need a bit more though on our side.... but otherwise, I would pull the Trigger</div></div>
A RHD who has averaged over 22 minutes a game for the past 6 seasons, recently put up 50 points in 82 games, and has the ability to play both sides of the ice. I was thinking I didn't give them enough. A bottom pair Dman and a 30 point center (who does have the potentially to be something more). But as I said above, if you end up getting Draisaitl, do you really need another center? Move him out to get something of need. Not to mention I'd think the Jets would want more roster players than prospects since they are in a win now mode for the foreseeable future.

EDM and WPG Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sk540</b></div><div>At first glance, I think edmonton would need a little more, perhaps another first or another top propsect, Leon just topped 100 points, he won't be traded for anything less than that talent.
Conversely, I think trading for Trouba's rights, that is a massive overpay. Now say Trouba has agreed with us to sign a contract extension, I still think thats a bit of an overpay, strictly because A. Nolan's potential, and B. The Jets are going to have to trade somebody with their cap issues, sort of like how Homer forced himself into the situation to trade gagne for walker. I think if they choose Trouba as the asset to unload, we could get him without having to trade NoPa, Frost, Farabee, Provy, Sanheim, or Myers. I would say they wouldn't mind Hagg, maybe ghost, and either a couple high picks or combo of picks/other prospects</div></div>
The way I see the Draisaitl trade is they get a puck moving/PP defenseman. Help improve their transitions and get into the offensive zone. Voracek is clearly a drop off compared to Draisaitl but he's still a very good player and could play with speed with McDavid. Add in the 11th overall pick in this years draft and get and getting rid of Russell's contract is more plus. But I'd be open to adding more depending on what they ask for.
With the addition of Draisaitl, I think you can move on from Patrick to fill a need. He's got potential and assuming he does reach it, would it be that much better than Coots are Draisaitl as they are now? Think he can be moved for a top RHD like Trouba. I'm high on Trouba because I think he can do it all. Think he's be a great partner to Provy. Sides everyone else down to a more suitable role. So WPG gets a center who long term and potentially slot behind Scheifele and a roster player in Hagg.

Why cant we propose more quality > quantity trades?

or
Trouba <> Frost and 2019 1st</div></div>
It's because people don't like giving up their top prospects unless their team is really going for it.
I thought about using Farabee or Frost. But figure with these moves the Flyers are going to need some younger players on ELC to mix in with those big contracts.
I would consider using a roster player like Lindblom, Patrick, or Konecny with the right pick(s).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Not enough. You likely need to include one of Farabee, O'Brien, Ratcliff, Frost, Lindblom, Patrick or Myers for a deal to happen</div></div>
I was thinking it was a bit low. I went with Vorobyov because I figure he'd help out the Jets now (in the bottom six) rather than waiting for a Ratcliff or O'Brien to be NHL ready. But I'd be willing to swap them if they want.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wolsen92</b></div><div>You are going to need one more piece for Trouba, he is a young puck moving RHD, he is going to be highly coveted. Is Hayes worth that much, and for that long? I never really thought Hayes was very good and paying him 6 mill +, I would rather make a run for Panarin... but i like these ideas</div></div>
The way I see it, I like Hayes because he can play both center and the wing. Not to mention he can play on PP or PK. For now I'd have him as a 2C but as Patrick and Frost get better, he can be moved to the wing to accommodate them. It's a bit of an overpayment for him, but I imagine you'll have to since he's a UFA. Not to mention with the expansion draft coming up, I'd imagine they're going to lose one good player with or without Hayes. So they'll have the space for him.

The problem is I don't think Philly can afford to give up Ghost and Sanheim in one deal. Part of the reason I had Ghost instead of Sanheim in the deal is for salary cap purposes. Need salary going out to fit Tarasenko and Pietrangelo. Plus I'm liking what Sanheim has been doing this year. Same idea with not including Myers. Him on his ELC helps the cap situation. There's a lot of money coming in (in this scenario).
Not exactly sure what STL is looking for prospect wise so I just included a Ginning for balance (trading 2 forwards and 2 defensemen with picks).

And regardless, I still think that's a little too much to give up for Price right now.
