I think he's under contract for the 2020-21 season in the KHL. So if he wanted to come back, it would have to be the following year.

He has a clause on his contract that if hes offered an NHL contract, he can void his KHL contract.

A lot of player are very good in KHL but cant compete in NHL. Maybe because they have more time on the ice to make a decision with internationale ice.
Just look at Nigel Dawes. Very good player in the KHL, but do you gave him 4m to be back in NHL. Probably not.

Dawes wouldnt get an NHL contract because of his age (35). He left the NHL to (i assume) make more money, He had decent stats before leaving the NHL

I wasn't really feeling this at first, but I looked at some of his underlying numbers and the guy was actually awesome defensively with the Blues. If he comes back over (and I think he probably does at some point) I think he'll be another Nichushkin: Don't expect too too much offense, but could be very solid defensively on someone's third line

Ya no way I excpect him to put up 30 goals in the NHL. Ya I think he would be a great bottom 6 player.

I've been saying for a year now someone needs to sign him, he was actually solid in the NHL last year
