Hall would never take 5 years. Much better to overpay for a star player than to not have him at all.

see this is where you and I disagree. Because the way I see the NHL moving forward is less teams putting themselves in future cap problems. Putting contracts out to 33 and that's it.
They will deal with it then. As the NHL gets younger and younger you can expect that trend to follow.
