<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>Is that 2mill Hirose deal actually real or did the site not update
Also surprised Van didnt sign Livingstone over him</div></div>
It's 2mil because it's adjusted, he's not actually getting paid 2mil, he's getting paid 950k ( 855 in base salary, 95k in signing bonus ), see CF FAQ for details <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CFsFAQ</b></div><div>How is the cap hit calculated for one year contracts signed after the start of the season?
If a player is signed to a one year contract after the start of the NHL season, that contract is subject to a unique cap hit calculation.
A notable aspect of the calculation is that the cap hit value is increased.
The cap hit is calculated as follows:
Cap hit = Signing bonus × total season days / season days remaining + base salary
Example:
Brogan Rafferty of the Vancouver Canucks signed a one year ELC on April 2, 2019. The contract has a base salary of $832,500, a signing bonus of $92,500, and there were 4 days remaining in the 186 day season:
Cap hit = $92,500 × 186 / 4 + $832,500
Cap hit: $5,133,750</div></div>

What Teams I Hope Get Bedard That Have A Chance In Lotto
Why the Caps? they've had Ovi forever, they don't deserve another generational player. I would want CBJ, SJ, Arizona, Anaheim or Montreal (obviously biased) to get Bedard

I imagine he's saying Chicago should've had to forfeit their last 2 firsts ( so 2022 and 2023 ) after the Kyle Beach story came out which is certainly a sentiment that many hockey fans share

Difference is McDavid has so many more points, is scoring goals at a rate not seen since Ovi put up 65 in 07-08 and only 18.18% of his points are secondary assists (37.5% of Nuge's points are secondary assists)

NHL TEAM PROSPECT POOL NEEDS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sharkie69</b></div><div>So, this is what I've got so far.
<strong>Montreal: BPA or goalie</strong>
New Jersey: Centers
Edmonton: RD or RW
Pittsburgh: BPA (except goalie)
Buffalo: RD
Seattle: Defense and Goalies
St. Louis: Centers or Defense
Tampa Bay: BPA (except goalie)
Washington: BPA but primary need is RW</div></div>
I would say for Montreal it's BPA, RD and G, I don't think Montreal goes out of their way to pick a RD/G but if they're incredibly close to the BPA, we might pick them over BPA

Losing Hart and Makar, and probably others that I'm forgetting</div></div>
I mean, Makar’s not playing in any World championships anyways because the Avs are going to be a perennial playoff team, Hart’s meh, Batherson, Kyrou, Thomas and Fabbro are probably the players that are the most affected

The Bruins can clinch the Atlantic today, the Devils can clinch a playoff spot and the Habs can be mathematically eliminated today, we're very much in the phase where teams can clinch/be eliminated every day
In the east, the WC race is between the Isles, Pens and Panthers with the Caps, Sabres and Sens all with an outside shot.
In the west, Seattle, Winnipeg and Nashville are battling for the WC spots and the Flames have an outside shot

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ricochetii</b></div><div>It's completely bizarre how that was only one game.
Greer slashes the hands. Not significantly perhaps, but enough for Hoffman to take exception and respond in kind, with his own slash to Greer's hands. You slash someone you should expect to get slashed back.
Greer's response to that was a full on crosscheck to the face. There's no arguing that he didn't intend to do exactly what he did. No way to pass that off as a mistake.
Sucker punches have received 1-2 games suspensions. This was a 2-handed sucker punch with a weapon. Just incomprehensible.</div></div>
And as I’ve pointed out, K’Andre Miller got 3 games for spitting like a month ago, how is a cross-check to the face with a stick not at least equal if not worse than spitting suspension length wise
