No way the Yotes take this trade, OEL is a Norris nominee caliber Dman, almost as rare as a franchise center, Habs don't have the assets to acquire him. They would have to give up 1st rounders for the next couple years and Patches and Galch and and and

I suggested this before the end of last season, package Sergachev+Emelin and a couple of picks for OEL. I'd rather see OEL in a Habsjersey than Drouin.

I think the Coyotes are listening to offers on him. He's UFA after the 18/19 season. If they can't sign him, they get less for him the more they wait to deal him. They could get a good haul of kids/picks for him if they dealt him now. And with the upcoming draft being a good one, they'd consider acquiring as many picks as they can.
