And in doing so you've bought into a declining player in Garrison who's signed for a long term deal taking him into the twilight of his career. Alternative idea to Garrison: Coburn. A rental for sure but he's about as good as Lovejoy.

Detroit is more likely to trade away a goalie than to trade for a goalie. Kindl is a good player and I doubt Detroit moves him. But if you don't trade away Pouilot you don't need him either.

Speaking of which, I do not like Lucic and do not think he'd fit well with Crosby. I might be biased here.

Not that I don't necessarily agree with you but why so high on Jaskin? Being an outside perspective, I think they are practically identical in terms of value. I've seen both play. Same age. Same draft status. etc. Just one is a forward and one is a Dman. (And usually the premium goes to Dmen). Comparing Jaskin to Taresenko is like comparing Clendening to Pietrangelo.
