That seems like a pretty reasonable deal, especially as the Pens are heavy on the right side already and Rust will be due a healthy raise soon.

I think the Pens probably want to be free of Hagelin's contract at this point, but Boston doesn't have the cap space to eat $4mil. Pens probably package him in a Rutherford January deal just like they did when they moved Perron to get him.

I know there have been a few rumors out there, but I don't know how serious the Pens would be about Spooner. He doesn't seem to fit what they are looking for in a 3C, as he's not known for being a face-off guy or a good defender/PK option.

Meh, rather see what Bjork can do with Bergeron/Marchand. If I'm trading Spooner I'm trying to get pieces to flip into something bigger or, futures or getting someone to take a cap dump.
