How available players* are (not picks, just players):
Untouchable**: E Karlsson, M Stone, T Brodie, K Turris***
Hard to get: J Pageau, M Hoffman, R Panik, B Ryan, R Dzingel, L Brown, C Ceci, D Batherson, A Forsberg, A Duclair
Don't want to have to move but could: S Bowers
Open to possibly moving: Z Smith
Available: D Weise, M Condon
Being shopped: F Claesson, D Phaneuf
Would move in the right deal: Everyone else
*-Includes prospects, signed and unsigned. Also AHLers, etc. Any players.
**-By untouchable, i don't mean price is very high, i mean not being moved.
***-Cannot be traded until Jan 1 2019
Weise has been on the 3rd line but I understand. Figured I'd ask since you don't have a full NHL lineup with Brown on the roster. you could move Burrows down to 4th line and plug weise in the 3rd.
i would feel safer putting him on the 4th, so i'd give you a 6th or a 7th.
Id be willing to retain 20% in exhange for Borowiecki and a 5th
how about 50% for Borowiecki and a 4th?

Probably only in a deal for a bigger piece but you can make another offer if you want.
What do you want for chabot
i'd want probably a top pairing LHD but i would add of course

I'd do Matt Irwin for Claesson. Gives you a little more stability and reliability. I saw you threw out a price of two second round picks, but I highly doubt anybody would come close to that with few games of NHL experience, and hasn't put up the best numbers.
If this isn't it, what's the best offer you've gotten for him so far?
this is my first offer for him, i'm looking for picks for him, not another d-man.
probably not, i'd need 2 2nds or at least a 2nd and a 3rd.
The best I can do now is Quincey + 2018 3rd. Could I add something else small? It's time to pop your trade cherry.
i'd still much rather a 2 2nds, that's the whole reason i want to trade Claesson, because it gives Borowiecki a spot in the lineup, and it gets me those picks.

RAIF -- are you interested in potentially doing something huge?
It depends what it is. If i'm doing something huge it's probably an offseason deal or maybe a deadline deal, but we can talk now.

MacKenzie Weegar for rights to Filip Ahl?
Not interested at the moment but maybe a bit later in the season. Right now i'm just trying to move out Claesson/Formenton.

For what it's worth, that's what I offered jmac for the similar Adam Pelech, but he unfortunately left before we could pull the trigger on it.
Or, if you insist on a 2nd, is a 2020 one okay?
i've said 2 2nds and if i can't get 2 2nds anywhere i'm probably gonna try to move Formenton instead.

So what do you add if i give you Orlov?
something small, like a prospect and maybe a late pick.
The something big I had in mind involves both Roman Josi and Erik Karlsson. Josi's exceptional contract value makes him more valuable in trades, but there are still a lot of moving parts in this deal.
Erik Karlsson
Mark Stone
Roman Josi
Kyle Palmieri
2018 1st round pick (your choice)
More pieces
As a structure, what do you think? Karlsson is due for a raise in two years, and Stone is this year. Your salary structure could get thrown off with those two raises, especially if you plan on bringing in a true #1 center. This way you still have exceptional players, another first round pick, and more cap flexibility to bring in a #1 center. Whatcha think?

When you said huge i didn't know you meant Karlsson.
Pretty much any move involving Karlsson is a no from me.
