In return COL gets the highly marketable Gaudreau. Bennet who will get every opportunity to play the type of minutes he needs to further grow into his role. 2 Dmen who could easily find themselves on the opening night roster, and a future everyday back-up goalie.

Seems to fill a lot of needs for COL to start digging out of the hole they're in.

The MIN trade is a bit more tricky, and here's my thoughts. MIN still needs to sign Foligno and this deal opens up a little more money to get that done plus they get Ferland who can play that tougher, semi-skilled role. COnsidering that's the idea they had when they brought in Chris Stewart and the fact they're losing him after this year, I think it fills a need for them. So another deal that benefits both teams.
