It's funny how some Canucks fans are panicking that this means boeser can't make the team. Lol. If Horvat signs an 8 year deal worth 45 million*** over the cap because of all the extra ELC rookie players I put which is just to show they can make the team on the bottom lines or make it later on thru injuries.

Agreed. Don't understand what the Canucks are doing. Once Bo is signed they have 27 players signed to NHL. Only Boeser is waiver exempt and more than half the team is 3rd to 4th line bottom end players.

Agree with both. As a business student, I see only one justifiable reason for the Vanek signing, and that is the classic pump and dump. If Vanek does well this year and puts up decent points, it would be beneficial for the Canucks to flip him at the deadline. If they signed him for any other reason , Canucks management is as stupid as we think they are.
