You're perspective is wrong. No team, and not just the Leafs are going to trade three front regulars for Doughty. Could you propose any deal that the Jets/Canes/Buffalo or any team, especially a rebuilding one would give so much for one player with just two year left on his contract?

Can someone tell me what the big deal is about Doughty??, ok yes he's a good defenseman, but have you really watched him play? he basically turtled last year when the kid from Calgary wanted to kill him, he's averaging 43pts (not 60+) like Karlsson a season and he makes 7mil, which he will demand 10mil+ in 2 yrs. IMO he is waaaay overrated. Yes he's only 27, and a right hand shot but c'mon trading two 60+ point forwards a 50point defenseman oodles of 1st rounder's for Doughty?, no chance in hell I make this deal if im Toronto, If I was LA and Lou called me to offer this, id accept the deal before hitting the ground from falling off my chair.
and BTW, why are there so many trade proposals on this site that include the Leafs 1st round picks? leave those picks alone, that's what got the Leafs in trouble all these yrs. is by trading away 1st rounder's, they are finally drafting well, leave the picks alone.
