    This is bad for Jets. One year of JVR does not get you three years of Trouba. And if this a trade in 2018/19, JVR will have NTC/MNC in his contract which excludes Winnipeg as trade destination. And Holl is a minor leaguer...no NHL trade value. If the Leafs plan on winning, Leivo ,Rychel and Marchenko won't be with the Leafs.

    laugh A deal based around JVR for Trouba is a royal joke, It would at the very least need to be JVR+Gardiner and Chevy still hangs up on Lou.

    The nyr trade is a joke. Deangelo just finished his first season, playing only 39 games in the nhl. 21 year old defenseman drafted 14th overall with massive potential for an expiring contract in a 31 year old center? Thats ridiculous.

    I am a huge Bozak fan, but even I thinks thats a bit over-priced. I think Bozak at max gets you like a 25th overall pick. Not a top 15, even if drafted. Realistically I think Bozak being shipped out for a prospect and a 2nd rounder.

    Palhal is right, Trouba is worth a lot more than that package, even if JVR agreed to go.

    I doubt Winnipeg would trade him unless he demanded a trade. In that case, IF he was willing to go to Toronto (not so sure he wants to go to a Canadian team at all), we would need to start with one of Nylander, Marner, Rielly, or Gardiner. The only one in that group I would consider is Gardiner. Then add in some sweeteners because Trouba > Gardiner.
