Another possible landing spot for Mrazek is Ottawa. History there in junior and there is no telling who mans the net next year with an aging Anderson and an unproven #1 in Condon. I foresee a move that either gives Detroit a 3rd round pick in 2018 and maybe Claesson or Englund in return for Mrazek and a 5th or 6th round pick.

I doubt Winnipeg will give up Trouba for so little despite the fact that he is playing behind Myers and Byfuglien. If anything they will keep him as an RFA and either receive an offer or resign come season end (Enstrom's contract is up next year).

I think the Dallas trade is fair. There will be looking for defensive depth come the playoffs if all goes well this year.

Pittsburg is in an interesting position this year because they don't have the depth at centre on the bottom two lines. Helm would be attractive but I can see them going younger and cheaper.

With that Colorado trade, it all depends on where Sakic thinks this team is despite the horrendous year last year. They will have a healthy Varlamov back, younger D and some prospects coming up. If they feel they can compete than Ericsson stays and is either traded to Arizona or New Jersey.

I double down on most of what he said. For the Trouba trade, I feel you'd need to give Tatar instead of Nyquist, and maybe a 2nd instead of 3rd. Not sure if that's enough, but that must be a better building block for a trade.

For Mrazek, I don't see you getting more than a 2nd round pick, especially with no salary retention (but even with, still no). Look at all past goalie trades.

For Green, I think it'll be either a 2019 1st or a 2018 2nd. I think 2018 1st is a little unrealistic given the deep draft.

I think Detroit could get a 1st rounder out of Mrazek if he plays well early in the year. He's 25 and hopefully coming in with something to prove. Maybe Detroit packages a lower prospect with the pick.
I may be over estimating Nyquist's value but I think a top 6 forward, a young D, and a 3rd rounder is fair for Trouba. But interchanging Nyquist and Tatar works too. They're basically the same player.
The Pittsburgh trade could be any team that needs a 3rd center. Colorado could be any team that needs help reaching the cap floor and needs a body on D.

I think all of those trades are lopsided in Detroit's favor:

-No reason for the Av's to take on Ericsson's contract for just a 6th round pick, no matter how much they need bodies on D.
-Helm is overpayed and the Pen's can't afford him. They would've just kept Bonino, who's a better player, got a similar contract, and wouldn't cost a pick.
-The Green trade is probably the most reasonable, but no contender is going to be able to accommodate his cap hit without retained salary.
-Mrazek isn't worth a 1st. Goalies generally don't get huge returns in a trade, and his numbers for the past year were terrible. This reminds me of all the crazy Fleury trades people were proposing before the expansion draft. Maybe a 3rd round pick if a team is desperate after an injury.
-I don't see the Jets trading Trouba unless the offer blows them away. They didn't trade him last year, why would they trade him now?

Assuming they were able to move enough salary, I could see Jagr taking that contract. But I don't think these moves work as-is.
