What does Anaheim have in abundance? {Hint: Cam Fowler, Pavel Mintyukov, Olen Zellweger, Jackson LaCombe, Urho Vaakanainen, Tyson Hinds, Rod Dionicio, Stian Solberg.}

What does Anaheim need because the Ducks have only one top-line player at that position? {Hint: Troy Terry is that player.}

Here's another way to evaluate what you will come to learn in time is the worst trade proposal you'll ever make: Troy Terry is a top-6 RW under contract for six (6) more seasons. Sam Girard is a second-pair defender who does not meet Pat Verbeek's size requirements and is signed for only three (3) more seasons.

Bottom line: you could add your next first plus the Rangers' 2025 second and Anaheim wouldn't make that trade.

To assume Anaheim would trade for Girard is where reality ends. To believe that Terry with 6 years retention is a fair swap for Girard is outright fantasy.
