Description

Anaheim could legitimately be a top NHL team for years to come.
Sennecke was a reach for me but I still think he will be a valuable contributor.
Either way a top six of Zegras-Carlsson-Terry / Gauthier - McTavish - Sennecke will be unstoppable. Not to mention Zellweger and Mintyukov coming in on D and Dostal being the goalie of the future.
This team may be a 1RD away from being a future dynasty. To me Pesce can be a valuable piece for them. May be an overpay but that's necessary for them to keep the term at four years. Shouldn't be a problem since Killorn/Fowler/Strome/Gudas will all be up in the next three years. Keeping cap flexibility will be essential for this team to make sure they can keep this core together long-term. If the young kids can take a big step this year and the veterans keep performing this is easily a playoff team - ANA's window could easily begin to open this year if they make a couple FA moves. May be one of the brightest futures in the league.

I'd say it's probably Sennecke goes back to Jr next year, as basically all Canadian Ducks high picks have, and he gets his shot in 25-26 at the main roster. I would bring Leason back, good bottom 6 still showing improvement year on year, might be a good 3rd liner one day.

Peace us a great grab, not wild on Edmundson. Guess we'll know Monday.

Defense is pretty meh still. ducks playoffs contention should begin the year after, not this year. I would stay away from pesce. anyone that signs him will regret it in my opinion.

stay aways from Pesce? i think he is alright, i just dont think he will be worth the money and term he is asking. He benefits a lot on playing in a very defensive system, i bet in 2 years he is a cap dump. But that is just my opinion.

Agreed, Edmunson is added to be a veteran presence and be a steady partner for Zellweger or Mintyukov. Probably paying more for his experience and steadiness than actual perforamance.
