Maatta is close to a cap dump who adds no more than the value of a fifth and isn't someone "who could be flipped at the TDL for extra picks" (the plural is particularly amusing), and Viro is a LhD prospect and therefore useless to the Ducks.

We're under no pressure to trade Gibson. If an appealing offer doesn't come along, we're quite happy to keep him. A $6.4 million cap hit may be significant to Detroit, but to a team that has $30 million in cap space, a cap hit twice that size is still a piss in the ocean.
