The Hurricanes don't need to deal him... they can force him to sign a deal via arbitration and there no really pressing cap reason to move him either so the Hurricanes can keep him if a team doesn't meet what they want in compensation and plus the Hurricanes have a long history under the Dundon regime of absolutely fleecing teams

I’d be VERY happy with that, but I feel like if we asked 11th overall, Savoie wouldn’t be on the table and vice versa. Honestly I’d rather have Savoie and not get 11th overall especially if Catton or Helenius doesn’t fall. Feel like if we don’t make a hockey trade, there needs to be a way to get a great center prospect, as that would fix an obvious hole in the lineup long term.
