That's not true. The take home pay for Guentzel in VAN at a $9.5M cap hit, is the same as the take home pay in CHI at a $8.5M cap hit, after taxes. CHI shouldn't have to overpay. But, yeah, this almost certainly isn't enough, unless he isn't worried as much about money as he is about fit and going somewhere he can stay a long time.

You're nuts if you think CHI is paying all that for Laine.

Hawks might bring in one of Guentzel or Laine, but certainly not both. And doubt the Hawks are giving up Dach in any deal for Laine.

The only way they'd be interested in Laine is if they could get him for nearly nothing.

Not sure the Hawks should take Laine even for nothing. They are trying to build a winning culture. Laine is in a tail spin & as of right now there is no real indication he can pull out of it.

That is not a lot for a Guy who scores 30 goal a couple Time… Yes he got ruined by injuries but not completly. Dach and Misiak are not elite prospects and their primé could third Line so no is not a lot
