Not a bad deal, but doesn't really make sense for the Ducks. I suspect PV would turn it down for fear of having limited control on TK's next contract. If he starts dishing out $8-10M/yr contracts than you run into the problem of other players wanting the same.

Its negotiation, TK will ask for 10 and get 8, but dont forget that zegras only has two years left and is already making 5.75, and put up 15 pts in 31 games.

Even with TK as a UFA thats about an even trade given both contracts and Zegras's injury/drop last yr
