Leafs will have 7 million in cap once Lupul and Horton go on LTIR, so you really aren't helping hem that way, however, you are clearing up room for the young guys to play. Like Connor Brown.

It's fair value, cause I assume that Flyers will finish out of the playoff, so one year JVR is steep price to pay. Leafs would prefer to JVR to help them make the playoffs though. Leafs do NOT have a cap issue. And the Leafs do need all their good forwards (like all teams.). Can't believe anyone can suggest that a 15th place team like the Leafs have to shed good players because their is no room on the roster.

Not willing to trade a non-playoff first rounder for a player who takes away a roster spot from TK/Lindblom/Weal.

Flyers aren't in a position to be trading first round picks for rentals. JVR didn't work here the first time and he wouldn't work now.
