Description

With McGroarty wanting out, I think it's the perfect time to bring in Laine. He would fit in with the top six of the Jets and I think most of the reasons he left in the first place are gone (Maurice, Wheeler) so hopefully he's okay with coming back. If he can find his game again, this is a steal.
Let me know your guys thoughts on the value of everything and what you would do different.

If Laine would want to come back (hopefully he does but i don't think he will) CBJ will need to retain a bit of salary and I think that since Laine wants out and his troubles and inconsistencies it could drop his value enough that McGroarty covers it all with the pick too. Let me know what you guys think.

Why not just re-sign Sean Monahan... I know he had a brutal post-season but he's still a 2C?

I'd be down for this, might be some other pieces involved and Patty would have to be open to a return, Chevy would need to be certain about fit and some assurance Patty would be willing to stick around if things went well, doubt they want to only get short term help in return for Rutger.

Ultimately there's probably no Laine reunion with the Jets unfortunately.
