THIS IS JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT. I know the team isn't complete. I'm not necessarily advocating that these deals are "correct" or "fair;" just offering a direction the Hawks COULD go take to weaponize their cap space and try to capture more first rounders while gaining good veterans to give Bedard and other rookies capable teammates to play with until the prospects take over.

In most instances, I tried to live within the confines of KFC's notion of no deals beyond two years from now (except Skinner and Palat, which are three years.) The overriding attempt here is to provide possible directions the Hawks might go to improve the team, build the prospect pool, and perhaps enhance both the near-and-long term Hawk rosters - by now offering full, prized, cap relief to contending teams.

Would also like the thoughts of fellow Hawks fans as to whether/how to keep Konecny beyond one year, if the Hawks are somehow able to wrest him away from the Flyers. He seems like a perfect right wing for Bedard - at least for a year.

I gotta step away for a while, so won't immediately see what will prolly be "colorful" responses from other teams' fans. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Again, NONE of these deals may happen... I'm just putting it out there to stimulate discussion around a "weaponizing cap space" discussion for the Hawks, while we still have CF!
