Not a fan of Jeannot, especially at that number; he had one good season and has been replacement level since then. Tkachuk for Mikko is somewhat interesting but I can't see Ottawa doing that. I also don't think it's safe to assume Gabe doesn't come back

Tkachuk provides cost certainty to extend the Cup window, while also giving a level of dirtiness on par with his brother. These playoffs have featured guys murdering each other, which Mikko can't do. There is an obvious theme to this roster...

There was a decent discussion on this trade the first time I posted it a couple months ago.

WSH is in the 'Calgary Zone' so there are many reasons why they would realistically do this. They are basically riding out Ovie's contract while also trying to put butts in seats. Plus a Val, G8, PLD line could be electric!
