Description

Assuming Landy returns and remains healthy.

Also assuming that Val can't be moved and since he'll get reinstated in Nov, makes no sense putting him on LTIR.

Drouin takes a deal to stay in CO, maybe add another year.

Casey takes a deal to stay in CO, maybe add another year.

Mason, I know Ducks are on his trade list, still owns a home in Newport. Makes sense to clear cap. Would prefer we keep him.

I'd be open to Manson coming back to Anaheim, but there's not a snowball's chance in Hades where trading one of our top D prospects for him, let alone adding a 3rd round pick.

You can have Vaakainen and a third for Manson, but Zellweger and Mintyukov are off limits, and while LaCombe is on the table, a pick would be coming the other way for him.

Persoanlly I don't see both landy and nichuskin coming back to this team and not at the same time so i'd spend 6 mil over cap then basically move nichuskin when he's reinstated. deal with any fallout if the situation even comes about. So with that mentality, there's no reason to move manson and don't need to sign hakanpaa

What team is going to take a punt on Val in this current scenario? In an ideal world, he moves back to Russia and the contract is voided. Maybe if we retained salary? If he does move on or Landy skates preseason and realizes he can't go and must retire, then Mason stays. A lot of what ifs.
