I know. This is why I sign him. There're two teams which can sacrifice 4 1st rd picks to sign Draisaitl: Devils and Hurricanes. As a Pens fan, it'd be nice to have Drai in our division. It would be even more stronger than it already is.

I like this move a lot, however the devils need to acquire a top 4 defenseman. This becomes one of the deepest offenses in the league.

Someone better go the offer sheet route for Drai soon. Just overpay him so EDM doesn't have a chance to underpay him.

As a Devils fan it's certainly a fun though without a doubt. However knowing that Draisaitl will command at least 10mil if he leaves EDM could cause a cap crunch in NJ's future. When guys like Hischier, Zacha, and McLeod come up on their contracts they will be demanding serious money. Even Taylor Hall who's contract is up in 3 years has stated that he'd be more than happy to stay in NJ as long as playoff success comes along. NJ looks like a team that can definitely push for a playoff spot in 18-19 and for sure make it in 19-20 (Hall's last season under contract). Hall earns 6 mil per as of right now. Let's just say he's worth 8-9 mil per, Shero will find himself in a pickle while trying to extend Hall's contract if Draisaitl has this massive contract. That's it for my rant

As much as I like Henrique I think Sheary is a big overpayment. I would suggest Cole to upgrade your D and Kuhnhackl to fill an open wing slot.

NJ would be dumb to offer sheet Draisaitl $10.5 million no way is he worth that much. If it were me he wouldn't get any thing over $6 million he's simply not worth it right now.

I know. But they don't need to solve all their problems this season. Devils are a team build to be a contender in the next 2 or 3 years. And there aren't many chances to sign a young with so much talent like Draisaitl without draft him.

And I don't think Pens will trade Maatta this offseason. He's just 22 and have a great upside. We have to be more patient with him. He was great defebsively in Finals against Predators.

Draisaitl is more talented than all your players. Even Hischier and Hall. There's no comparision between him and Zacha. So, if I was Devils GM, I'd sign Drai no-brainer and I'd solve the cap issues later when the time has come.

The kid had 77 points in 82 games in regular season and 16 points in 13 games in playoffs, being the best Oilers player in postseason and you tell me that Devils would be dumb to pay 10.5M to Draisaitl?? You gotta be kidding me or you're jealous that your team can't try to sign him (and I'm not even a Devils fan).

I don't think 3M to Sheary is an overpayment. And I'm Pens fan. He had a bad postseason, yes. But his regularnseason was huge.

As for Cole and Kuhn, could be an option too. I thought about Cole. It was my original trade.

I think just Devils and Hurricanes could overpay him. The other teams would cause a mess in their cap if they do it.

If the Devils OS Draisaitl, do they McDavid along in the deal? If not, they aren't getting a 77-point player. In 500 minutes without McDavid on the ice last season (about 35 games), Draisaitl scored just 3 goals. Leon is certainly a good hockey player, but not a $10.5MM player.

Have u seen any Oilers game in playoffs? It seems like you haven't. As I said Draisaitl was THE BEST player of the Oilers in postseason. He was more consistent than McDavid. So you're really underestimated him.

You have the right to disagree me. But I have the right to think you're wrong. I bet if he was american or canadian no one would tell that he doesn't worth that type of money.

And I'll tell one more thing. If Drai doesn't play for Oilers, McDavid would never reaches 100 point mark. One player completes the other.

The facts prove you wrong - I'm just the messenger. Look up McDavid's WOWY's and you'll see that he scored equally as well with Draisaitl as Eberle when you control for LW*. Leon is a skilled player, but he hasn't proved yet that he can drive his own line at C. He did amazingly well in the playoffs, but a three week period with a shooting percentage of 27.3% doesn't prove anything, long-term.
