NJD aren't trading Necas.

Also that Calgary trade is so bad for Montreal that I almost puked upon seeing it.

What is that Calgary trade? It’s incredibly bad for Montreal. Huberdeau doesn’t have much value right now. You could probably do Gally for Huberdeau un retained, with some picks or lower level prospects to level it out. But adding Matheson AND Guhle is just…..wow

Then give them Guhle, Savard or Matheson instead of Harris. I don't care. Their offensive core is older than thwie whole Def. They want a more mature D-core and a goaler. Our rebuild is still young, we take Nemec. 17'000 posts you'Re pathetic. How will you live once the Capitols take this sit down?

I'll take Huberdeau over Gally any day still. I really feel like him laying with Suzuki would have the same effect it's having on Slaf. He can set his game straight.

Sure…..but why are we adding Guhle and Matheson? Huberdeau is not worth that much at all

Oh someone's feeling feisty.

Though even by naming the wrong Czech my comment is still more valid than that travesty you put together.

Not really! NJ needs build their blue line fast. I see them trading Nemec for a mature D and getting a golie like they say they are shopping for. Their D is too young vs the core.

He won't.

Even by that flawed logic NJ aren't getting what they want in the trade you proposed yourself. Besides, Nemec and L.Hughes are all of 3 and 2 years removed from J.Hughes respectively which hardly makes them a bad fit especially given their upside and Hamilton's advancing age.

Beyond that you have MTL paying a ludicrous price for the privilege of tying the league's biggest boat anchor around their neck for the next 7 years.

You're getting a top 15 pick for a player who wants out.

Weird way to describe a pick that is likely going to be from the Florida panthers who haven’t picked higher than 28th in 3 years

Go check out Huberdeaus Corsi. His pints aren't that bad playing in the most toxic environment in the NHL.

I don't know who was wants out (maybe Anderson), but cap dump, bust and really late 1st ain't gonna cut it for Frost. Habs 1st could do it.

I don't care where you play, if you're an all-offense forward on a $10m contract you need more than a pretty good corsi in sheltered deployment to bring any sort of value.

Beyond his performance the past 2 years one has to consider the SEVEN YEARS!?! left on his deal. While there may be mitigating circumstances to his performance the past few years it is extremely unwise to bet on a one-dimentional forward who's point totals have declined for 2 straight seasons which just happen to coincide with him reaching his 30's.

Maybe he can turn things around short-term but there is no way I would bet on him being worth a contract he already hasn't lived up to going through his mid-30's.
