Description
CAP IS OVER BECAUSE THERE ARE 7 EXTRA PLAYERS CALLED UP WILL BE UNDER THE CAP WHEN U SEND PLAYERS DOWN (most of them are on 2 ways)

First trade: Jeannot doesnt seem to be sticking around with tampa. theres a high chance he walks next summer and they gave up a ton. They also seem to be shopping him and while hes a big body isnt much more then a 4th liner at best. The bruins always seem to get decent value out of players like especially ones who have talent and show flashes (like jeannot has). A depth Dman on a team that tents to turn them into solid at worst 3 pair guys and a 4th could be enough (would be open to changing it a bit)
Second trade: Ullmark is an elite goalie and Edm (at least there fans) seem to be desperate to get an elite goalie in net to back there D. trading 2 younger RFAs to a team looking to get younger would fit both teams. they both have solid potential and would fit into the bruins pretty well. With other teams calling edm would have to outbid everyone else (idc about nmc players tend to waive them when they feel unwanted)
Signings: Jake DeBrusk is most likely gone as he seems to be looking for 6m+ While that will suck for them due to him being an amazing playoff player he is very streaky and most likely going to be overpaid. There are a few replacements I could see as fits on a 2-3 year 5ish deal. Mantha Arvidsson, bertuzzi, Marchessault, olofsson, duclair, kanee, even duchene or Pacioretty could be fits (not all them are worth 5m some are a bit more some are less but general idea)
Lines: While theres a small logjam in the bottom 6 in the Fwd they have a bunch of them on expiring deals and could look to package them and add a player during the seaons if needed. letting merkulov and lysell fight for some time during training camp can only help. expecting beecher, lauko and boqvist to take a step forward this year they could move them during the year for picks or keep the depth.
Open to Ideas/ replacements but use ur brain : D

Détails additionnels:
They get a great 1A goalie to pair with skinner to be a 1B. Instantly makes them a much better team all they have to do is move campbells cap and replace it with an ullmark deal. + saves a few mill (mid/late draft picks could be added depending on value for either side)

  1. Ullmark, Linus
Détails additionnels:
Both good young players however Holloway hasnt continued to developed as expected. Borberg is a good 3LD also comes with having to resign both. gets the bruins younger overall during this retool. (mid/late draft picks could be added depending on value for either side)

It's a complete non-starter for EDM for a variety of reasons. The most important one is that making such a trade all but screws their entire cap situation as they're relying on both Holloway and Broberg to fill significant roles on the roster for cheap (~1mil each). Such a move means they'll need to fill both a middle-6 LW spot and either their 3LD or 2RD spot with different (likely more expensive) players while ALSO having a good chunk less cap space due to the Ullmark addition. The end result of that would likely be a net loss of around 7 to 8mil of their already limited cap flexibility.

The team is notably better off keeping both young guys as they also (should) want to get younger and faster and using the extra space they'd have to upgrade through other means.

What? from who? I cant see any halfway decent team offering anything more then a 3rd. Maroon over the last 2 years has put the same points as him. Patrick maroon. ur not getting anything back to the level u gave up. Jeannot has missed solid time due to injury's and done everything but be valueable to tampa. They overpaid massively for him and nobody wants him. the best u might get is a 3rd which is about the same as a 4th and a RD who is an edge NHLer who at least has a chance to be a 6th/7th D which is about what jeannot is as a fwd. Jeannot got benched multiple times for u guys in the playoffs.

While I understand the cap if Edm does make a run any deal would start with at least 1 of Holloway/broberg/bourgault + at least a 2nd. Saw a bunch of Edm fans on twitter + here adding ullmark in trades or people they should go get, thought it would be interesting but U would have to make it worth bostons while and thats pretty much the only way. Unless ur open to moving hyman which ovb wont happen bos wouldnt think about kane unless ur eating half his cap and RNH surely isnt available theres nothing else on ur roster that would interest them as far as players. Its going to require a lot more draft capital without any players (1st + 2nd) to get him. so a similar package is really the only way to go to get him.

I'm just not a Lindholm guy, I wouldn't sing him to that. I think Chandler Stephenson fits wonderfully between zacha and pasta and that can be a great line and save some cap.

Jeannot is basically a lot like Trent Frederic except he’s coming off a bad year. At his salary, he should not be hard to move. My guess is they should be able to get something better than this fairly easily.

I mean, is it? Was Jeannot really worth an entire draft class+? He shot at an unsustainable shooting% one year then fell flat. Is he a decent 4th liner? Meh. Maybe.
Any GM giving more than a 3rd is insane.

And this is coming from a Preds fan.

I'm not arguing Tampa overpaid but to think nobody wants him at all is laughable, he absolutely has value. Look at how Florida is succeeding in the playoffs and how Vegas did last year too, physical players absolutely have value.

hes like fredric but worse in every way and far less points. he scored 40 points shooting an insane shooting % and hasnt had a good year before or sense. Pat maroon has scored the same amount of points as him over the last 2 years. Jeannot may have some value but its no more then a 3rd. hes 27 and going to be a UFA after this year and is an overpaid 4th liner. unless Tampa wants to eat cap (they wont) hes got almost no value.

look at who Fla has tho. they have players who can actually score and be physical. Jeannot is a 4th liner. u massively over paid for him and will not get even slightly what u got back for him. hes making almost 3m against the cap btw whch is a large chunk for a bottom line player that could easily be replaced by multiple current FA for the same price or cheaper.

my friend please look at jeannot. he had 1 good year. u overpaid and now after getting benched multiple times after u got him doing nothing for ur team ur looking to move a near 3m cap hit. most teams wont even take him unless ur giving him away for free/ paying him. theres a few teams that may take a chance by giving up a late pick but if ur expecting a 2nd or a 3rd and prospect ur just not smart.

maybe. I just think he fits very well and plays a very very good 200 foot game and can play on the PP and PK and be a Walmart bergy for them. lossing him has killed this team and getting someone whos even 2/3 the player he was 100000000% is worth for were this team is. they need a top line C and lindholm fits that while pots and lysell and fredric and merk keep growing. it makes a very strong win window in a few years if the players grow even close to how they should.

????
Who are these players on Florida who "actually score and be physical." Luostarinen has 8 points in 20 games, Lorentz has 3 points in 15 games, Okposo has 2 points in 14 games, Cousins has 1 point in 11 games, Lomberg is pointless in all 5 games he's played. Almost 3M? He barely makes over 2.5M. Jeannot is one of the toughest players in the league and can absolutely play on the 3rd line. He will easily return a 3rd and probably a bit more.

I am not arguing Tampa overpaid for him. But it's literally been reported that teams are interested in him. If you honestly think Tampa would have to pay to move him you have a screw loose. He was scratched literally once, and it's not even confirmed if it was due to health or not.

tarasenko got 14 points in 19 games and 8 during the playoffs. lundell scored 35 points as a 22 yearold. rodrigues scored 19 points, 12 in the playoffs. verhaeghe, bennett, tkachuk and barkov all need no introductions. thats over 3 lines right there not even talking about reinhart. nobody is calling FLa for the 16th forward. cousins was making 1.1 mill stendlund at 1m lomberg 800k lorentz 1.1 luostar is making 3m but is 25. ur comparing jeannot to 4th liners and barley NHLers. bennett does plenty of scoring while also being pests to allow a few barley NHLers to also be rats. is anyone calling to add nick cousins? no? theres a reason for that.
yes teams will call and be interested in jeannot but that doesnt mean u will get a 2nd or better. u will get at best a 3rd rounder for a struggling 4th liner who has been injured multiple times last season. if u want to say a 4th + fringe NHLer isnt as good as a 3rd then im here to listen but to act like jeannot will get anything back is laughable and shows how much of a homer u are. TBL need the cap and jeannot isnt helping then on the ice or with cap.

You are naming top 6 caliber players... what a complete waste of time, your entire argument is that he is a 4th liner. why are you comparing him to players who are all 2nd liners. Tampa won back to back cups because they had players like Kane and Hyman permanently on their 3rd line

Luostarinen is only 1 year younger than Jeannot, thank you for making my point. Those types of players have value

yes. maybe a 3rd when they come with a near 3m cap hit. not to mention 2 awful years in a row. U asked "Who are these players on Florida who "actually score and be physical." i listed off there top 9ish 2 of which easily fall into the extremely physical category and 2 def have some physicality even if they dont have the size. you are trying to compare the value of jeannot to non NHLers thus proving that hes not worth much more then a bag of pucks. again. he will get a 3rd at best most likely a 4th from any team. if no team wants to take that risk there is also a chance u will have to give him away for nothing to clear the cap. you have no leverage over anyone who listens to the offers but tampa needs the cap room, bos, tor, clg, nj or any other team that listens to tampa have no reason to pay a good price on a player thats best attribute is his size. 142 games over the last 2 years (including playoffs). 34 points. thats not someone who is going to get u a good return. stop being a homer and open ur eyes.

Well, there are definitely teams interested. GM’s love to overvalue players simply due to physicality.

Issue is, he’s overpaid for what he does. If he wasn’t, Tampa wouldnt be shipping him. 4Th line bruisers can be found anywhere for much, much cheaper

my friend he has scored the same amount of points as maroon, hes making almost 3m to eat 7 mins a game on the 4th line and barley play. he plays 14 mins a night to score 1 point every almost 5 games. thats brutal for anyone making over 1m let alone 2.6m. stop acting like hes worth more then a 3rd at absolute best. stop being a homer and learn players value.

my friend he has scored the same amount of points as maroon, hes making almost 3m to eat 7 mins a game on the 4th line and barley play. he plays 14 mins a night to score 1 point every almost 5 games. thats brutal for anyone making over 1m let alone 2.6m. stop acting like hes worth more then a 3rd at absolute best. stop being a homer and learn players value.

Lmao you are delusional. Typical of oilers fans

what is deletional about what i said? who are u taking jeannot over considering there are plenty of 4th line players in FA? for 3m there are tons of solid depth players u could get or even still have cap. what on earth do u see a 14 point per year player whos trade is known as the worst trade in the last 5ish years? something like that doesnt bring value let alone get u more then a 3rd. so who is trading what to get him? u still have yet to give a single team that would make sense for them to willingly give up more then a 3rd?

He doesn't make 3M and you are obsessed with calling him a 4th liner when he's not. I don't need to name a team because there are plenty that would be interested in him. He was on pace for 21 points and 300+ hits. Dakota Joshua is the closest comparable to that this year and he's easily making 3.5M+ this summer

Gotta agree with colby. Jeannot is as 4th line as they come. He was incredible to watch the one season he scored 24, but that shooting% was NOT to be reached again. Tampa ignored all of the red flags surrounding him and traded an entire draft class for a 4th liner.

Way too many players in FA who you can give similar money to, if not, LESS money to do the same thing. Play 10-12 minutes a night and make hits.

Dakota Joshua isn't a close comparable considering he scored 18g-32pts. Even then, a team is going to ignore the red flags and overpay after one season the player probably won't hit again.

Jeannot just stinks.
