Laine trade is going to be tough I do not know the value of this guy. Do you value based on past? Do you value based on recent issues and performance. I think both will be into consideration with this deal with Laine potentially forcing his way down does that give other teams an opportunity to gain leverage in the deal? I am also not sure if Pens have enough to give Jackets what they want... here is my offer.

Yager- Think during his season and during Memorial Cup he has shown enough to crack the roster.
Dakota Joshua- Like his game can score can bring energy a guy in the bottom 6 penguins have missed
Kylington- One year prove it deal he honestly might sign elsewhere for more would not shock me.
Ned- In Ned We Trust- Blomqvist is not ready for NHL yet.

Rakell- Bounce Back season incoming (IMO)
Eller- Depending on where you are at... Trade candidate
Graves- No one is taking him. Hope he bounces back to... anything better than last season (Bar is low so can not get lower)
2.8 mil in cap space I think pens in this proposal I have add youth- Doesn't really add picks like Dubas mentioned

Can't give full value for Laine with his current situation and cap hit. I would guess his value is a roster player to off-set some salary, 2nd round pick and mid prospect.

i like this, but thats too much for Laine. Sam, Reilly and a 2nd, or maybe 1 more prospect that could use a new sit. Dakota is just the kinda piece the Pens could use. it would be great to get for cheaper, buuuut i'm sure others will want him also. Maybe 2 x 2.5 M for Kylington?

In regards to Laine's value, more consideration has to be given to recent performance and his time away in the NHLPA Assistance Program. To me, I think a second rounder is a good starting point for a Laine trade. It acknowledges his past success while also recognizing that this is a bit of a gamble.
