Calgary doesn't want Korpisalo. Remove him and it might be acceptable. That'd basically be Grieg + Boston's late 1st for Markstrom and swapping the other 1sts to move up 2 spots for the retention on Markstrom.

For a team that needs a starting goalie as badly as the Sens he doesn't just **** gold, he IS gold.

I think the Flames decline.

Most of the prospects projected to be picked in the 4 through 12 range this year are roughly comparable. There is little reason for the Flames to give up much of anything to move up in the draft from 9th overall. Korpisalo, at the moment, has very little or potentially negative trade value. There are likely goalies that will sign a 2 year deal with a below $2 million AAV that are better goalies than Korpisalo was last season. The Flames might take him on as a stop gap while Wolf develops but they're not going to give up anything to acquire him.

Markstrom for Korpisalo and Ottawa's first is likely a deal that Calgary would agree to. Ottawa releases itself from an albatross contract and upgrades in net but has to give up their 7th overall draft pick.

rofl marstrom aint worth a 1st round pick and OTT is not wasting 7th OA to dump Korpi when they can cheaply buy him out.

Sens aren't giving #7 for a 34 year old declining goalie even if it means getting rid of Korpi. His buyout isn't even bad.

I want to state for the record that a man made of gold is way worse than one who ****s gold. That's WAY less gold long term.
