Description

Connor and Leon should cost us about 30 million between the 2 of them. Bouch should get 10. Skinner could make more depending on how next season goes. In that case we’d have to adjust some of our UFA expectations to the cheaper side. I included players I’d like to see drafted in 24 and 25 by creating them. Broberg and Holloway could certainly get more but I’m betting they I’ve very average seasons. I’m predicting Bunting and Ferraro take slightly less to get more term. Signing both Matt Murray’s for goalie depth was done purely for fun.

It's their choice. Lots of teams will make the room for either of those guys. Money isn't going to be the thing they're worried about.

If it gets down to 3 years left and only a 10 team clause we can work out a deal. It’s going to cost us a couple 1sts but it’s worth it.

Neither of them will see free agency so it’s irrelevant. They are in a great situation where they get to play on the same team. That wouldn’t happen elsewhere.

Drai, McJesus and their agents can run the same simulations as you can. Take those two off the team and it’s garbage; even with them - bottom 6 is bad and Bouchard is the only really good top 4 dman; Ferraro has looked OK on the worst team in the league.
McJesus is coming home in 26; best to prepare yourself now.

You can dream about that fantasy as much as you’d like but he isn’t leaving. He is on one of the best teams in the league and playing with another top 5 player in the league who he has a great relationship with. Toronto is barely going to be a playoff team moving forward.

No arguments with 2 top 5 players on Oilers ; but if he joined Leafs he’d be playing with Matthews - another top 5 player 🤷🏻. And it’s his hometown.
Edmonton (any Cdn city) is a great hockey market but the lights shine brightest in the big smoke; the whole league knows that. Winning a Cup in Edmonton would be epic but winning a cup in T.O. would be LEGENDARY!
Time will tell but my money says he ends his career in blue & white
