Kaliyev nets a way higher pick

On the high end someone could offer a 2nd round pick for Kaliyev but realistically he will get a return of around a 3rd round pick. A 5th might get you the rights to Grundstrom and that's about it.

Also, Luostarinen for Kaliyev would be more fair to be honest.

Kaliyev in 1/2 the games played at 188gms 71pts is a way better pace than luostarinen 294gms 105pts. MAYBE FLA adds a pick mid range but that’s way closer than what you have here.

Zadina is not better than Kaliyev, therefore should not garner the higher trade value.

Ok I take back that part. But I still say FLA needs to add something else as Kaliyev is younger and on a better pace pace than luostarinen.

But I would say I’d take him as a swap if nothing else is added.

Over the last 3 years Kaliyev has put up 70P in 187GP for 0.37ppg and Eetu has 96P in 242GP for 0.40ppg over that same span.

Kaliyev is younger but did request a trade. Eetu is more well rounded but is also more expensive and in this scenario is a bit of a cap casualty.

I feel like it's fairly even given circumstance, normally I would think it wouldnt be a big deal to throw an extra pick in but Fla looks pretty barren so might need to be one for one.
