I think if NJ trades the 10th overall for a goalie it would be for someone younger. Think 2013 when NJ traded the 9th overall for a 27 year old Cory Schneider. So if NJ did that, I think it would be for Saros, not Markstrom.

Did you not read what Frank said. Devils would want more than Markstorm and in what world does a 34 yr with no retain gets to a top 10? it doesnt even with retain you dont get a 10th. Your gonna have to add Markstorm 2-3 retain a 1st a 2nd and more. Devils draft a dman is the dumbest thing ever. Its time to stop overvaluing a 34 year inconsistent year 2 year goalie

Schneider in 2013 is probably more similar to Swayman 2024. Both tandem goalies emerging as #1. Both top-5 numbers. Expectations that Luongo/Ullmark would be moved.

That's what I think. But.... I don't see Swayman being available, especially because the Luongo contract at the time was awful, where teams need goalies this summer and Ullmark is the current ( 2024 winner not announced as of yet ) Vezina winner. The only way Markstrom and the 10th overall pick would be involved in a trade would be a bigger trade.
