Dadonov has a NTC and I think Habs would be on it from when he was in Montreal he wasn't very happy

Even without that Barron is worth the late first himself so Habs take on 2 cap dumps for 2 3rd round picks and give up a 4th?

I just don't think this trade is able to be worked out

He might've been unhappy with the team\play but, they did right by him and traded him to Dallas which helped him. The Habs could do it again with another team
Not everything is a straight dump, the world isn't black and white (Vancouver got something for Beauvilier and Chicago traded him again for the same return and his salary was higher than both players).
Dadonov at the very least would get the Habs a pick at the deadline, Faksa is more iffy because of his salary.

Would not have expected a Habs fan saying it's too much lol

Pezzetta, Dadonov and the fourth are pretty whatever. Faksa is a small cap dump but I’m confident we would turn him around and get like a fifth for him. A late first for Barron isn’t particularly inticing, but it’s fair and better than other trades I see here

That is true, I just don't see the real gain from the Habs here as the RHD isn't a strength in the system so trading a 22 year old RHD doesn't make sense. If habs trade Baron I see more of a hockey trade then a pick trade

I also just think Dadanov will have them on his NT list based on he probably wants to win and knows Habs time frame isn't now.

Dadonov aside, Mailloux looks good at RHD and I liked his 1 game with the Habs and think he'll start the year in MTL. Reinbacher had a down year in Europe but, had strong numbers in his AHL stint (I don't watch AHL can't say for sure if he was good) if he also pans out that is the top 4 RHD covered ahead of Barron.
Having more options is nice but, of the 3 I think Barron is the most likely to move and least likely to burn the Habs long term by becoming some type of mega star
