I dunno if it's related to whatever CDN's delivering the ads, but it's a) annoying and b) dangerous, because it looks like some sort of attempt at a drive-by download.

If you want, next time, I can try and get screenshots of the ads that are on the page when the pop-up occurs so that you can better identify what the problem might be.

It's an issue with Google Adsense that seems to be widespread, I've seen it on multiple websites recently, we've disabled the main culprit, but yes if you can screenshot next time it will help identify the cause
