Carolina doesnt even consider and here is why. They would be trading a young goalie who had a .911 AAV, a second pairing d-man on a very good D-core and a player that is a Top 6 Winger on a competitor that can also take face-offs and produces 50+ pt seasons for a Prospect (Granted he is good) and a 2nd round pick. This package for Carolina that is in win now is way too light.

Probably would need to upgrade that prospect to Cooley, keep the 2nd and add a 5-7th round pick to get considered if the target is that package from Carolina.

lol what? this is a homerun for carolina. the kind of cap dump that they're getting rid of is pretty expensive.

The cap dump buys them Guentzel.

The Kotkaniemi contract goes on for another 6 years and its unlikely he improves much in Carolina.

I think you got Kotkaniemi confused for Kochetkov.

Also, Cooley has 100 point potential. He is untouchable.

There is 0 chance the isles trade a young top pair D-man and a 2nd for a declining 2nd pair guy at a higher cap hit and a late pick. It just doesn’t make any sense for them to downgrade player and draft pick while taking on more money
