2024 and 23 combined with tiers top 8

(2023 was very strong year, especially at top…2024 is thin at top…but comparable for dmen).

I’d put celebrini and especially Michkov are in that group with fantilli and carlsson, just seems to be consensus from what I’ve seen about those players to me.

I’d be fine with that…was really pointing out that 2-7 from 2024 would be 7-12 in 2023 (ish)

Yeah definitely, last years draft could end up being one of the most stacked drafts if not the most stacked draft of the 21st century.

Celebrini is decidedly better than Fantilli and Carlsson according to all scouts I've seen cover that topic. Literally had the production of Fantilli without the Hockey IQ questions and a decidedly better defensive game and is STILL 17. He's 100% in his own tier below Bedard.

Celebrini was excellent at BU. But never really took games over the way Fantilli did, especially 5v5. And Fantilli was playing in a conference more similar to pro-style game. I watched a majority of both players games and feel comfortable with Fantilli over Celebrini. They both will be good.

The point was really about the other guys from 2024 draft…it’s hard to see any of them in top 7 or 8 if put in 2023.

You have Dvorsky over Leonard in this? I cannot see that being true what-so-ever. Dvorsky struggled againist men but was great against his peers. Made me worry about his ability to step up to the next level

Its obviously not a complete list. I'd put them in similar tier probably.

Was trying to make a general point about the two draft years.
2024 draft doesn't hold a candle to 2023 draft.

I think this year is deeper for defenseman.

But I would also say Celebrini is on the same level as Fantilli and Carlson. But I think Michkov is on his own tier between Bedard and the others
