Description
Wanted to categorize some Sharks prospects by the likeliness of playing in the NHL next season. This is just with the assumption that said player is signed. So Lund and Havelid are unsigned currently but they have a decent chance of signing so I included them. I've also sorted them by most-to-least likely within their group/column.

Tried to keep it simple, but there's also a lot of nuance that I could go into.
- For instance I think it's extremely likely that Musty will get his 9 games, so I guess you could put him in column one, but I don't think it's very likely he'll play 25+ games.
- I think there's also quite a few players where their fates are very dependent on their training camps. Those guys I would say are more bottom of the lineup grinders like Wiesblatt, Pulli, and Cardwell (who I think is one of the Sharks most interesting prospects)
- Prospects that aren't shown here, either are very unlikely to have a shot to crack the lineup in any fashion or are very unlikely to sign (NCAA and Russian)

I for the most part agree!
I would have added a category for good prospect but not near NHL ready yet.

Hopefully Shakir makes it. Would like to see what he can do on PP1. He's impressed plenty with the cuda.

I guess my one comment would be no Prospects are a lock!
They need to earn it so I would have, almost a lock, need to earn their time, not quite ready but we will see in camp, needs more development, and not close but keep an eye on em.

Nice concept!

I assume Thrun and Emberson are no longer considered prospects?

I'd put Bords and Gush in "Fighting"

I'd move Cagnoni to sleeper but unlikely. I think he might go to the AHL but I think he's a long shot to actually make the NHL next year. In the long run I'm hopeful about him, just not next year.

I don't think he's basically a lock. The team has a lot of players competing for the spots and they still need to spend around 15M just to hit the floor so they're likely to get more. If Couture's healthy and Macklin comes out you have Couture, Granlund, Zetterlund, Eklund, Sturm, Celebrini, Kunin (sounds like he's getting re-signed), Smith, and probably Kostin. That's 8-9 out of 12 spots taken up before factoring in players acquired to hit the floor.

He was solid, but he was there 1. because he wouldn't have signed if he didn't go straight to the NHL to end the season, and 2. because literally the entire team was injured.

There's a lot of competition now with the amount of prospects they have pushing for spots, especially with Smith already signed and Celebrini likely to sign

It’s pretty typical formula, at least with the Sharks, to get a college FA signing enough games immediately after signing to burn the first year of the ELC and then start them in the AHL the following season. Graf showed some things after signing, he’s definitely got some deception, smarts, and patience to his game. But he’s also got a lot to work on and needs to fill out his frame some more to be really effective at the NHL level. He’s just far too easy to knock off the puck.
