Description

Let Poitras season in the AHL and put on some size before making the jump.

I think the heat Trouba is getting in NY may make him expendable and to get carlo on a very friendly controlled deal would justify eating some salary. Playing a physical game and not having 1st line matchups would be a good fit.

Give Joshua a deal similar to what Miles Wood was given in Colorado, more term and low AAV to round out a gritty third line that can produce a bit more

Signing Kane gets you the scoring you need but effectively blocks Lysell from cracking the line up as he can't play a 4th line role so he and ullmark can net you a decent prospect and some draft capital.

Dillon is a stop gap until Lohrei can grow into a top 4 role in another season or 2. He can eat minutes, play structured D, and eat pucks. As he gets jumped on the depth chart his minutes and usage will decrease as well

Rather have Carlo and Lysell than Trouba and Stillman.

To be honest I'm not sure I do Stillman + 2nd for Lysell without Ullmark in there. I definitely don't do Carlo for Trouba

Oh boy. Conceptually you've got a nightmare here.
First off, Trouba is horrible. Just a flat out bad player. got exposed all playoff. Carlo is way better, and has a way better contract.
Then you've got Poitras. Like it or not, the bruins already made their decision on him. They have him as an NHL player. No shot they're burning two years of his ELC not in the NHL.
Heinen is better than Joshua. No need to be handing out a 7 year deal when you can just get Heinen around 2x2. Same age. Heinen's better and comes with way less risk. a true no brainer.

I also think Lohrei has already shown he's a top four guy. I'm as surprised as anyone.

The point of getting rid of Trouba for the Rangers would be to shed cap. With the retention this is only shedding like 2m, and Carlo isn't an upgrade over Trouba either. Not worth it. Rangers decline.
